    Now that we won game 1 and have "home court advantage" what exactly does that mean? Does it only apply to game 7 if there is one?

    It means this series is best out of five for us now. We have homecourt in the next 5 games. The schedule will be

    @La
    Hou
    Hou
    @La
    Hou

    We win our home games and the series is over and will never have to play a 7th game in La. Hope that makes sense.

    I thought the bigger and more relevant stat last night was the "when yao scores x points, the Rockets are 20-0 this season" or whatever the exact numbers were. Didn't that apply last night?

    no need to consider this.
    just treat next game as 7th game and win it.

    Thanks, but I'm still a little confused.

    If we didn't win Game 1, how would the schedule have been different? Would one of the Houston games have been @LA?

    We are lucky to steal the first game,and i believe lakers will wake up from the nightmare at the game 2. rocket has to perform better to get consecutive win.

    It really means that we play more home games then La for the rest of the series if we win our home games. The goal is to win the home games so we dont have to go to game 7 in Los Angelas.

    The stat I'm looking for is how often the lower seeded team wins a series after winning game 1. I'd bet it's much closer to 50% than 80%.

    I wonder how many of those teams that won game 1 had a 7foot 6 center that was this good. Scratch 05 that series was rigged, literally. I think tomorow's game is a must-win. I see the Lakers getting one from us at home.

    According to : http://www.whowins.com/tables/up10.html

    After winning game 1 on the road, the lower seed wins game 2 24% of the time and goes on to win the series 54% of the time. I'm not too worried about the statistics though, I truly believe in this team and what they are capable of.

    rockets suprised everyone with game 1, but there is absolutely ZERO chance we steal both games in LA.

    Lakers 2-18 from 3 pt, Odom 1-6 from the line was the difference.

    It was basically a 3 man show for the Rockets of Yao-Artest-Brooks. The difference now is THIS team has other players who CAN step up like Wafer and Scola, unlike past Rockets teams. So things still look good for the Rockets

    even if we win our first 3 games, with the characters we have at the moment, we will still fight until the 4th win is sealed.

    The players have learnt alot after letting things slipped at crunch time.

    Kobe will redeem himself, and that could mean he will be selfish. As I saw some statistics that LA loses more if Kobe scores a lot and don't involve his team mates.
