Not having Howard will hurt Dallas in the 2nd half.

melo is clueless in the nugget system out there.... seriously, if they might find a way to replace him with dirk-like, they are real contender right now

JR smith is a dumbass lmao rotfl

He takes a long ass three with 4 seconds remaining

J-Kidd comes back and hit a three to end the half.

Melo said himself, "We made some boneheaded plays." Really Melo?

This entire conversation Barkley, Smith, and Webber are having over Dirk's comments is mind-numbingly stupid.

Seems like Dirk has lost a lot of confidence in himself ever since completely failing to win the finals in 2006.

He really shouldn't have made those comments about them being able to check them unless he's playing mind games.

I would hate it.. but Dirk would be really good on the rockets.

He isn't good enough to be the #1, but feeding off of Yao he would be awesome

He's accomplished far more as a #1 than Yao Ming has. I'm not sure why you are saying that.

Yao hasn't been given too much chance with Tracy on his side, not really blaming Tracy. But Yao was never the center of the offense until the Tracy left. In the pre-injury 06-07 season he was the center of the offense and before his injury in 07-08 he was the center of the offense as well. It's really just been injuries that have been holding him back.

Dirk would mash up well with Yao, because Dirk spreads the floor a lot and they can play a high-low post game.

Dirk had nash, finley, stackhouse, walker and jamison and he was still the dude.

Who was a superstar then? Nash wasn't. Finley wasn't, Stackhouse? lol, Walker? Lol. Jamison? 6th man.

So no, Dirk and Yao would run a great high-low post game, but it doesn't matter because both of them are pretty much untouchable on there team's.

Don't know if its a international big man thing or what, but dirk's problem is his go-to move is a jumper. He gets on the blocks and everything is a short dribble drive. If he had a jump hook, step through, pivots and reverse pivots, he would be ungauradable. Too many times he lets a 6'8 athletic guy take him out the game. He's balling right now though.

Finley and nash were all stars and jamison and walker were all stars a yr before or so. No one is untradable. Kidd and Shaq have been traded multiple times. Moses was fresh off taking a 42 win team and 2 league mvp titles and was traded. Everyone has a trade value and everyone has a price.

Ehhh, I actually think his footwork (pivots and what not) are actually pretty decent. To build on what you said about his jumper, his bread-and-butter move seems to be his post up-fadeway. From that point he usually displays a wide variety of spins, pivoting and pump fakes that either draw fouls or give him the space he needs to get his shot off.

Not really a point worth debating, I guess. Just saying I think his footwork and ability to throw off his opponent involves much more than just using a simple backdown-jumper.
