No way the lakers come out lethargic in this one. The rockets have to play even better than they did on Monday to keep it close. Hopefully we can steal it in the 4th quarter.

My town was hit by a storm and I have been without power for three days. My ClutchFans password is saved and I didn't know what it is, AND I have wanted to get on the board and celebrate with you guys soooo bad!!! What a huge, gutsy win! I am so proud. What if the team is coming together at the perfect time? Remember my thread, The Perfect Storm? It could be happening before our eyes.

The most important game of the series is the NEXT game. If the Rockets could pull off the improbable and put the Lakers in a two game hole and then come home, this series could really get interesting. The Rockets went to LA, punched the Lakers in the nose, knocked them to the canvass and became a first round winner. Can the Lakers take a punch, will they come out fighting? Likely. But what if they get knocked down again? The Rockets need to give it all they have. We are on the edge of a knockout; never miss an opportunity to put away a strong opponent. Oh, I want the second round in the worst way!

I think we still have to do a better job on the boards and we have to get more scoring from our bench. It'd be nice to get a good game out of wafer this go round.

It's Adelman's offense. Everyone has to contribute. Yao probably can't get 28-10 every game and you don't expect Ron and AB to shoot that well in the entire series. I expect better contribution from Scola, Landry and Wafer.

Wafer needs to keep his cool and steps up his game. If Scola and Wafer shots are falling we will be tough to beat. ;)

Is Wafer struggling with his back at all?

Dont get wrong, I watched the game and realise that he was yanked because he took 2 poor shots and turned it over twice (and lost his cool).

But we havent seen him be his dynamic self since the report of the injury, he has barely seen the PT.

Hope he's ok, we are gonna need his scoring in stretches.

The fakers would probably bounce back in game 2, but as we keep our defense intensity, there's still a chance to win.
Most importantly, i hope nobody would get hurt.

Question: What would it take for you to get a Von Hawk ?

For me, if we beat the Lakers.

Any news reports from practice today? It's been pretty quiet as far as I can tell. I want news on Yao's knee and what the team worked on.

Thats an AP story that came out today. Yao's a little sore but should be fine.

Anyone take Bryant's comments as a bit overconfident. He talks about how he's happy that there is a challenge this year because last year was a cakewalk. He talks about how champions always face adversity at some point and that this is it. The way he phrases it makes it seem like he thinks that LA is championshup calibur and houston is just a small hurdle they have to overcome.

Stole one from LA is already a great achievement. If we could steal both, we might go all the way to Championship!! This is big game for us. Let's bring it home Rockets! BEAT LA! BEAT LA!

Yes. He's very demeaning and arrogant.. we already know that though!

Here's to Rockets letting their play do the talking again in Game 2!!!!

    GO ROCKETS!!!

The Lakers played a good game no matter what most experts say that they were lethargic that is bs. The Lakers had their chances and even took the lead but it was the D by the Rockets that got them the win. Also, the Rockets did not play their game. I believe the Lakers will come out firing all cylinders but it will not be enough to stop the snowball rolling Rocket D.

    Rockets win 108 - 94

I expect it to be a different game. As long as Gasol and Odom are defended well we are fine. Kobe can go off for 40, but it doesn't make a difference because usually when he shoots over 20 FGA his team is often times losing.

-We need to control the boards, we didn't even do it that well in Game 1.
-Contain there Big Three in all 4 quarters
-Feed it to the beast Yao
    -Ball movement
-AARON BROOKS - Very Key player, our new road warrior.

Rockets come out firing, and leading by 20 by half time.

Lakers make a come back and cut the lead to 5.

Yao score 10 straight points to put the Laker away in the fourth. 5 clutch free throws.

Kobe goes 9 for 29 from the field.

    Rockets win 89 : 83

It would be nice if the Rockets could pull this one off too. The Lakers will deff come out on a different approach. I hope everyone is still cold and we get hotter. Should be a good game. I would love to see 2-0 coming into Houston.

I hope Kobe becomes his old self in the first half... disregard teammates and take it yourself!!
