speaking of calculator games... back in high school i created a football game for my TI-85. i spent my entire sophomore and junior years writing code for it... it took up the entire 32K of memory on the calculator... had graphics, lineups for all 28 NFL teams, and basically kicked a$$!!!! every single person in the school knew about the game and so did almost every teacher... they would let me work on it during class and not get upset! the game was incredible! a friend of mine told a local video game store, who wanted to sell the code and pay me quite a nice bundle! well... finals time come my junior year in pre-calculus and my stupid teacher goes around deleting the memories of everyone's calculator before the exam (so we couldn't cheat with formulas stored in them...) well, i was waiting to tell remind her about my game, but as i leaned into my backpack to get a pencil and paper, she walked by my row and cleared my calculator's memory!!!!!! 2 years of hard work down the drain!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! i was SO upset that I just left the room and refused to take the final! luckily, my teacher and i were cool and she let me take it the next day (i think she felt really bad!) i know this has nothing to do with TI-86 games, but just hearing about calculator games triggered this painful memory
Typeable games? Johnny Rocket suggested www.ticalc.org, which is probably the best place to start, but you really need a TI GRAPH-Link unless you want to spend hours either developing your own games in BASIC or typing them in from the Net as such.
I did have games earlier this year on my TI-86 but they messed up and i havent gotten them back because i figured they will mess up again besides 3 more days left of school! I wouldnt recommend d-loading games off the net, using the link, u might get a virus or something that could **** up your calculator.
whoa dragp...that's a pretty amazing story...sorry about losing the game.... when i was in high school...the hot find was the first three levels of Super Mario Bros....WOOHOO!! I bombed all my classes because of that game.
My friend created an Enterprise vs. TIE fighter game for the TI-85 that simply kicked ass. You had phasers, torpedoes, cloaking, lasers, the full nine yards. It took him a year to make, and it was well worth it.
