The best part of this game is that it exposed the Fakers' role players as mediocre. I couldn't stand all the talk about how deep that team is. I think our talent stacks up well against them and performs better in a tough situation. The Fakers rely on Kobe to be their safety net, and when he's contained by Shane and Ron, the other guys crumble. Phil Jackson said he couldn't imagine how they could've played any worse than they did. What an insult to our defense and what a load of crock in terms of his own assessment of his team.

The key to the series is to come out strong at the start of Game 2 and withstand the charge that the Fakers are going to make early to re-establish themselves. If the Fakers get a lead, we'll just have to be smart and exploit the opportunities to reel them back in like they let the Jazz do. The only difference is that we'll put them away in the end.

    Rockets in 6.

What was so sweet about this win, besides the obvious pleasure of beating the whining Faker b****es silly, is how all the Rockets played hard, played well. Everyone left it all on the floor. I can't remember the last time I was this proud of a Rockets team.

Adelman- "It's not about them losing, It's about US WINNING!"

he told that team to go out and TAKE IT!

We had our biggest lead when we needed it most!

We did all the things necessary to steal Game One- limit the Big Three, defend the perimeter, take quality shots, expose the slow pg on the opponent.

We can do it again! Win at home and the Series is ours!

Just wanted to say awesome game rox

    Bring the rain in houston!

Thinking of putting together a photo shop of what cyborg Bryant sees when he's driving at yao. Sort of like a big fat target on yao's knee.

Love the big man but one of these days they're going to get him. Wear some protection...

They miked it on the sidelines and you could hear him say it. Unreal. What a great feeling.

I love how Yao, Brooks and Battier step up for this game. However, Rox have to really match the intensity of the Fakers in Game 2 as they will charge with full force ahead. Proud of our Rox and bring on Game 2!!! :)

At least in regards to recent history Yao's performance has to be considered legendary. It reminded me of that Paul Pierce moment from from last year in the finals. I know this is premature but hey it's worth saying. Good for you Yao.

Agree. Maybe Yao should consider wearing some protection. He's had a couple of knee clashes recently ... and he probably has a bigger knee cap surface area than most.
