    Not a whole lot of difference from a sore throat. Just given a medical term to sound more technical.

    All this oly means he probably won't whine as much...

    heh...they just mentioned kobe's 'illness' again.

    how does pharyngitis, or whatever it is, affect 'hand-to-eye' coordination?

    If Kobe is actually sick, and that is why his performance is lacking, then this game will make his health worse and he will play worse for Game 2.

    Kobe pretends to be injured or sick so that when he performs normally or well he gets an extra long slurp job from the media. Its an ego game with him. He is sick in the head.
