We managed to get by Portland without Deke, but would he be missed for the Lakers?

Of course we will miss Deke. If for nothing else, his inspiration from the bench.

We will miss the protection of the basket when Yao is out.

False choice - We will miss Deke, but Adelman could still find a way.

This is why I hated to see Deke go down, because of us facing the Lakers. He most definetly would've made things more interesting and I would've liked our chances WAY, WAY more positive if he were there for 10-20 mins a game. He could block shots, get key rebounds and make a huge impact off the bench. Now we do not have any1 to protect the basket, so most likely get killed on the boards every single game. We have nobody to rebound the ball and 2nd chance opportunites will be very limited. Offensive rebounds is something which is key for this team but I don't expect it to happen.

If we lose this series, it's definetly a what could've been story...if only... :(

    DEKE, WE MISS YOU !!!

Picture Deke going out playing against the Lakers or leading us.

We will miss Deke's elbows. One shot to Gasol's ribs and that crybaby will think twice trying that baseline dunk he likes.

Yes. With the likes of Gasol, Odom, and Bynum, size will help. But when there's a will, there's a way.

His loss hurts real bad with all the length, size, and height the Lakers have. He has really played well against Bynum and his size, rebounding, and shot blocking will be sorely missed.

Just look at my username. ;)

Yes, we will miss Deke for the rest of the post-season. His motivation, leadership, and his ability to play defense will greatly be missed though. His intangibles will be missed the most though. His ability to alter shots, block shots, and rebound cannot be replaced. We already have Yao Ming in the starting lineup do that, but when he is on the bench nobody can replace Deke's ability. I hope we can still pull this through and play with extra motivation with Deke out.

    Get Red.

We probably would of swept Portland if Deke didn't go down.

No, because even if he played, he would get worked because they are so much quicker than he is.

Thank morey for this one. Deke shouldve been the 3rd center behind magloire, elson, mbenga,or petro. Now when yao go out, we will see a midget trying to keep bynum off the glass.

Deke will definitely be missed in this series. Just his presence in the middle makes people think twice before driving in the lane.

But I do believe the Rockets have what it takes to pull out an upset!

Get well soon Deke! You are missed!
