But does anyone besides me think that the league is semi-rigged? I mean seriously, that Sac/Lake game was officated horribly. Anyway, I think the Rockets will be markedly better if we avoid injuries and draft Ming or trade the pick. I think Odom, #8, and #12, plus our #15 gives us a remarkable chance at improving the franchise. If Odom stays outta trouble our lineup would look something like this C. Cato, Borchart Pf Griffin?, Taylor, Hilario Sf Odom, Griffin? Caron Butler or Qytenl Woods (either one is gonna be awesome) Sg Mobley, Woods or Butler Pg Francis Norris + plus our current backups and second rounders One of our biggest problems this year was depth. Steve went down and BAMN we lost to everybody. Maybe its not perfect and maybe we won't hit the playoffs this year but give it a couple years and we'd be one of the most talented squads in the league. The only problem really is where to put Griffin. Personally I'd put him at 4 in front of the overweight and overpaid Taylor and play him like a point forward kinda like C. Webb. Oh, and Sac proved last night that they were the best team in the league, they were robbed.
If it's as rigged as you think, next year we'll be in the second round of the playoffs living off YaoMania with the rest of the world...
Hey, I'm not saying don't draft Ming by any means. Its kinda a matter of quantity versus quality. If we have an option of drafting 3 maybe stars and adding a relatively proven guy versus 1 potential star and a maybe star then i would personally draft the 3. i would really not have a problem drafting Ming if he had no strings attached. Right now though, I think our best bet is to stockpile talent, find as many contributors as we can and move our team into greatness. Seriously, looking at the Kings we could be just as good if we make the right offseason moves and a little luck falls our way C Cato Borchart C Divac Pollard PF Griffin Taylor Hilario Pf Webber SF Odom, Woods or Butler SF Peja Turkoglu SG Mobley, Woods, Butler SG Christie PG Francis, Norris Pg Bibby Jackson Seriously, in 2 years, which liineup will be better (all things remaining constant)? If you just add Ming and a pick to our roster I'm not sure it makes the same type of impact.
