Does anyone else just see Yao getting in foul trouble every game this series?

I remember that, it was one of Yao's two quick fouls that benched him in the second quarter of game 3. Tony Brothers is terrible.

Depends on the officiating... Tony Brothers is a suspect of Yao Ming getting hacked.

It's possible this series may be Yao's true coming out party in the NBA. Stern said before Game 1 in Portland that Yao will be in the HOF one day and he seems legitamately mystified that 90% of fans of the NBA think he's a slug.

Yao's on a bigger stage now in the NBA than he's ever been, and with that you can bet that more attention is going to paid to him than in the past. Everyone expects the Lakers to coast even if Yao goes off every game.

I really expect Yao to have a series that will greatly impress the masses, and most of us here will probably be shaking our heads, and wondering why he's been officiated so badly for so many years.

Frankly, I have no idea why Yao doesn't get better treatment from the refs, and I sure don't understand why the league might prefer Kobe v. Labron to Yao v. Labron. Frankly, the latter series would be the most watched NBA finals in the history of the league and would open doors to the league all over the world.

Having said that, such a series would probably not be as strong in the US as Labron v. Kobe. That means less viewership in the US and less ad revenue from the series. So the networks benefit from Labron / Kobe.

It also probably means a *lot* less US action on the game, which screws the mob.

So, assuming the refs are crooked, we should be able to see whether they are being manipulated by the networks, the league or the mob.

    1. National TV
    2. LA is a better team

I expect the games will be officiated fairer than usual 2 offensive fouls because of flopping crap.
