Please Reread the post. Your response lets me know right away you know little about the game. Of course the game is not street fighting. But if you doubt for 1 second that the playoffs are more physical than the regular season and all things being equal the more physical team will usually win than you haven't watched much playoff games. And obviously, to most non-morons, physical doesn't mean street fighting but it does mean stuffing people when the come into the paint and giving hard fouls. The team that delivers and recieve blows in the context of the game and does it better has a definite edge. Notice I said deliver and recieve. You may deliver Ron Artest a hard foul when he comes to the middle but he can recieve it and continue. He will not be intimidated. Dallas looks great on paper better than Denver but Nowitzki is soft. LA is not as soft but they do do rely on a more finesse game of Kobe. That didn't work last year against Boston. ANd it probably won't work this year either. I don't know if the Rockets will beat them but I doubt they win a championship this year. Not unless Bynum turns into a beast somewhere along the way. By the way I never said Denver would beat us. I just responded to DD's post in saying that Denver was more than just an afterthought.
hahahahahahah!! lmao this is hilarious i'm just reading everyones comments that Denve vs. orland post was hilarious
I love Houston, but to say Denver does not have a chance is along the same lines of all the Laker fans counting us out. All NBA teams have a chance. I personally like Denver. I like JR Smith, Melo, Kenyon. They got some real hood dudes on their team and I like that.
Denver is the most overated team in the playoffs, they got hot at the end of the year by beating up on nobodies. The Rockest owned them when they played....... The Nuggets are easy to stop......just play tight defense on them...and guard Nene one on one. And beating New Orleans is no great thing, they were in shambles by the playoffs this year. The word is out on how to beat them...play Paul one on one and stick to the rest of the team. DD
This is one of the first times i actually feel the need to post a "Handpalm" Picture. I really do not get allt he praise Denver is getting, sure they have beaten the hornets, but they are not that good. IMHO Both Houston aswell as LA will destroy them (Sorry Nuggets4). They are a nice team, but I do not believe they can beat La/Houston and after that the Cavs.
I realize this is a Rockets board, but I'm seriously amazed how the majority of posters here feel that the Rockets are heads and shoulders above the Nugs. If both teams advance, with Denver having home court, that would be one hell of a series -- one that probably would go 7 games. But yeah, anyone claiming Denver (or Denve?) will be the champions one game into the second round is a damn fool.
Here's a serious reply for a change: The Nugs have a lot of talent. Just look at their starting Linup. They have former numbe 1-3 picks in draft. Pick Number / Player #1 / KMart #2 / Billups #3 / Anthony #7 / JR Smith I'm not too sure if Billups is #2 pick and JR Smith was #7. But my point is that they are loaded with talent. They are very deep.
I have to admit that i haven't seen many games of the Nuggets this year. But my feeling with them is that they are not as good as they apear at this moment. I think they will not be able to deal with Yao. And ofcourse Billups will give us some trouble, I do not think he is as good as he apeared in the first round. If the rockets and the Nuggets would meet in the conference finals i think it will be a 6 game series and a Rockets win.
