Exactly... I am predicting that if we win this series, it'll have to be similar to how we beat the Blazers. Take all 3 home games, and try to steal one in LA (preferably game 1, but game 2 or 5 is also fine).

It's been a good season for the Rockets.. Congratulations on finally making it out of the first round in over a decade but it's obvious, short of a catastrophic injury to Kobe, the road ends here. Lakers will end it in 5 games.

Wasn't really sure what the best thread to post this in was - but I wanted it known that I repped big time for the Rockets over this past weekend.

Went out on the town Fri and Sat nights - wearing my Artest jersey.

To give you an idea of the sad state of NBA fandom in Australia these days, I had approx 3 comments from people...one of which only knew who Hakeem was. His mate said "Don't they have Tracy McGrady now?"

    I educated them wholly.

As I did a whole lot of people, including a bouncer who saw my jersey and said "No sports jerseys in here"

Boy - did he ever get some from me.

    :D

Rox will win 4-1 or lose it with 1-4.
The chance for Rox to win this series is more than 50%

Rockets will take this series in 6 games.

I know that everyone outside of the Houston fandom has already moved the Lakers to the next round, but I think that they are in for a surprise.

Yeah, we went 0-4 against them this season, but this is really the first time I think that we're going to play each other with the team firmly in place. What was it - 34 games? Is that how many this lineup has played together? This isn't the same team that spent most of the season wondering who was healthy and who would start...this is a team where everyone knows their roles and are stepping up at the right time.

I'm not angry, nor offended that everyone and their dog is predicting the Lakers to destroy us. These are the same people who thought that the Blazers would take care of the Rockets with relative ease.

    Looking forward to tonight's game!

Damn, in that case, we have to make 82 pts first :)

Don't see the Rox winning this one. I yearn for it as much as the next guy, but . . . come on! Kobe Bryant?!? The man is a Certified Gold Standard Deluxe Edition Rockets Killer!! The NBA game is all about CLOSING OUT in the 4th Q. With 6 minutes left on the game clock, a 10 point game either way, tough D on both sides, bad reffing everywhere - the team with Kobe Bryant will win that stretch of the game 4 of 7 times. The Rox just can't close, and that's a death sentence against the game's BEST closer. Lakers in 6, maybe 7 if the Rox keep hitting the long J. Yao will be a FORCE, though, but just not enough in the end. I still see an Artest meltdown coming, too. That scene of Kobe just laughing at him at the FT line while Artest's spouting off some INSANE GARBAGE - just too much. You'll see Kobe at the line A LOT, so he'll have plenty of time to chat with Artest.

Damn only if we had Mount Mutombo I would be confident to beat the stupid Fakers.

I'm counting on the True Warrier and Wafer to destroy the kobester.

Lakers got the better of almost all the questional calls in that series.
And to say this Rockets choke is to say that you never watched any of their games so far. You're in fact not a Rox fan.

LOL, Kobe was never such "good" before Gasol arrived, and whoever still questions Yao's mentality is a complete idiot to say the least.
Cavs? If Rockets go on to meet them in finals, you'll see how well LeBron is being handled there.

Yao was pretty effective against Gasol in the last game we faced Lakers. Gasol only got to get his when Yao went to bench. He got blocked a couple of times by Yao and also missed most of his shots against him.
Scola will find a way to maximize his own advantage, trust me. He's such a good veteran that will eventually cancel out Gasol in points or effectiveness in this series.
