hehe. thanx for all the picturesques. I just watched last three games.. and agree that Rondo is better right now. Rose, besides his jumper not falling and turning it over as crazy, seemed a little effortless to me - as if he's not into it completely. I've seen few regular season clips, so that's why I was asking.. The title however, probably should have been different.
I just can't believe you even asked the question posed in the thread title! Honestly, I thought you were being sarcastic. I'll answer: yeah, he's at least "any good."
Rondo is not better than Rose at this point in their careers. Rose commands a double team, Rondo does not. Rondo even has his man playing off his to double team the stars on his team alot of the time. Rondo has no 3pt shot. Rondo DOES have a jumper, but Roses is better. Rose is a rookie, a 20 year old rookie. If he was a 3rd year player hed still be pretty impressive because hed be 23. Rondos got pretty much nothing on Rose, but yes, he is a good player.
How in the hell does averaging a triple double for the 1st round of the playoffs = useless stats? And Rondo means a lot to Boston especially with KG.
ok, he is a rookie!!!! for a rookie he has a had a big impact on the bulls especially in the playoffs... sure he has some weaknesses like defense, but give him a few years and he will be great!!!
Ha dude are you serious derrick rose is one of the up and coming point guards we have in the league today probably top 3 or 4 in the league right now in my opinion
he's a ROOKIE. and if u think a rookie who put up 19.7ppg, 6.3rpg, 6.4apg, 49.2fg% is not any good, i don't know what to say. the turnovers and inconsistent jumpshooting are due to him still being a rookie.
20, 6, 6 on 50% shooting v. a very good defensive team and v. rondo, one of the best defenders at his position? he has superstar written all over him. the mistakes he made were simply rookie mistakes: turnovers. the lack of a jumper is due to him still being so young.
"Is his jumpers any good?" What kind of a lame question is that? Not too many rookie can developed a good jumper right out of the draft. Did you even bother to look at his stats and overall resume? Wow, way to go...judge a rookie on his 1st playoff game and over look what he did in the regular season where he was carrying the team. Being able to do that with the all of the pressure and expectation is considered "good" to me. OP=epic FAILED
You're right - he did turn the ball over more than a few times in costly situations - but he is a ROOKIE. Think about that.
