got suckered into going to watch this one today, in about an hour. at least I'm not paying for it looks absurd
I would say they should have kept Brian Singer as director. But I didn't like the new Superman he directed.
It definitely wasn't as bad as the leak, but it was still pretty bad. There are some pretty cool scenes where Wolverine goes berserk but it doesn't make up for some of the terrible ideas, terrible casting (will.i.am), and terrible effects. Spoiler Adamantium bullets? Really? How would that make any difference as far as hurting Wolverine?
X2 is still the best one probably, but I would put it in second place slightly ahead of the 1st and way ahead of completely bad X3...
Just saw it tonite It was better than the leak one I saw but it wasnt all that good either. The movie dont really peak or anything is just like a flat line straight thur.
I sort of liked it. Ofcourse they made some mistakes Deadpool, adamantium bullets, memory loss etc. But overall if you do not take the movie to seriously it was a nice action filled movie. Do not expect it to be realistic. Of course the story wasn't that good, but it wasn't terrible like transformers. So all in all it is a nice movie to spend 90 minutes on. You get entertained. I did like the casting of Liev Schreiber as Sabretooth.
I have a question about his movie that I didn't understand.... Spoiler Why did that guy in New Orleans fight Wolverine and prevent him from killing Victor and then, all of a sudden, become nice? I totally didn't get the turn around....
Spoiler That wasn't done to well i agree. I believe Gambit (guy from new Orleans) first thought Wolverine and Creed worked together. And therefore he wanted to fight both. Apperantly he didn't see that wolverine was trying to kill Creed. But when creed ran away he understood that Wolverine wasn't working together with Creed. But like Í said it wasn't that clear in the movie.
This movie should thank the leak and the leak's bad reviews. I didn't watch the leaked movie, but I read the reviews...and they were pretty much negative. So I decided to watch the movie today with very low expectation. The movie wasn't bad. I was into the story and the action. It's not the best movie, but it's not as bad as some people make it seem. If anything, it felt a little fast and the special effects were sub par. For those who think the ruined Deadpool (my gf's new favorite character thanks to Ryan Reynolds and the character's humor): Spoiler Whatever this movie did to Deadpool doesn't matter. That guy is supposed to be able to regenerate a heart! They needed to decapitate that face because it was messed up from a story stand point. Maybe he'll regenerate a head without stitches on his mouth since stitches are not part of his body. And also, he'll probably lose the powers the comic book Deadpool doesn't have. Remember, the 'bonding was not complete' when the activated Weapon XI (Deadpool). OK - Nerd cap off
That is a good theory. I read some internet rumors about them wanting to do some deadpool movie. I hope they do , or maybe the can pull a batman begins and just reboot the deadpool time line and find a director and producer who can get it right.
If you read the wikipedia article on the movie, there were a few different alternate endings that were shown after all of the credits depending on what theater you were at.
Didn't hate the movie, felt it could be a setup movie and that the 2nd one could potentially be great. 1. I don't understand the need to deviate from the characters and storylines so much. Whats the point? Why is this studio (Sony or Fox or whatever) so keyed in on changing things up? 2. Spoiler I do like how Gambit is placed as a link to Wolverine's past. That could potentially be cool and gives an otherwise useless (but cool) character (Gambit) an important role in the future. 3. Wolverine as a character is written best in a supporting role. I hate the need to have him front and center in X-Men. So when they go and give him his own movie I expect a more accurate portrayal. I expected at least 20 f-bombs from the guy, when he eats (at the farm) I expect to see him eat like a starving animal, Spoiler when he gets to Agent Zero after he kills those old folks I expect to see him slice Zero to pieces without hesitation or questions , this is Wolverine, an absolute maniac when berserk, he will kill without hesitation, he will tear your heart out and eat it! Show me that! X-Men 2 teased into that aspect so maybe Spoiler after the bullet induced mindwipe he becomes more of a maniac as a result from losing his past I feel like it was ok movie that could have been done much better. There is no satisfaction in it for me it all leads up to a big nothing.
This movie wasn't bad. It was better than X-men 1 and X-men 3 which were significantly worse. I don't remember there being any WTF what were they thinking moments like you usually get in a movie like this. I guess the fanboys will never be satisfied though. Solid movie. Maybe people were expecting some epic and came away disappointed. For me, a solid super hero movie is a good super hero movie. Anything above that is just gravy.
