Marv gets my vote. He's got the history behind him, plus he has humorous comments with the other announcers that I really like.

I like them both, though I think Harlan's pairing with Collins works better than Marv & Reggie (ugh Reggie).

Reading the Walton mention earlier in the thread makes me curious. Why isn't he broadcasting anymore? Does anyone know?

    what about "REGGIE, FOR THREE!"

and we can't forget the best one of them all... "REGGIE, FOR THREEEE"

not really, but if was always funny watching a marv game with the pacers because the pacers usually played close games, and you'd hear that over and over towards the end of them.

He was having some health issues if I remember correctly, or ESPN just thought he was too crazy to continue calling games.

Oh man! I loved that in the '94 series. Even though he technically was spinning I guess, that's the only guy I remember calling it that.

    "Olajuwon, with the spin!

Marv gets my vote, but as someone already said, you want Kevin Harlan on the mic for the big moments..

I like Doug Collins, but man - he sounds like he's whining when he's criticizing someone

I think my girlfriend said it best:

"Is that Marv or Fake Marv?" (referring to Kevin Harlan)

Harlan, He pumps you up when he announces. He is also speaking with a lot of excitement as well.

    Example.

LOL, How is he biased towards the Lakers? Is there an instantance he shows bias towards the lakers? I don't think he's biased to anyone actually.. what made you think that? Insecurity? Do you fear the Lakers?

And he creams himself every time anyone makes a big play, the guy seems genuinely excited to watch competitive basketball, and Kobe Bryant is one of the most exciting players there is, so I don't see the problem with that.
