This is why i think that Lewis would fit in better than Odom.... Why you may ask... Odom played on a team that didnt have an established point guard.. i'm not saying that Francis is but Odom would be like there point guard in LA... If Odom is going to be running the offense why dont the rockets just get Jay Williams... Does Francis just got something against Williams... Lewis would give us a good starting SF who can rebound and run the floor.. and besides that he aint no crackhead like Odom... I think that sooner or later Odom is going to become a Daryl Strawberry who just is constantly getting busted with drugs... I also think that Odom, Francis, and Cat on the same team will cause ego problems... it happened when clyde , dream, and Barkley were here.... Its like the Rockets were good with Hakeem and Drexler, but once they made that trade and got Barkley its like theres too many stars on the floor at one time... i say we work a sign and trade deal... the sonics dont have a first round pick from what i saw on NbaDraft.net... so what i'm suggesting is that... we give #15 , MoT, and Langhi for there 2nd round pick and Lewis....

    1) Lewis will not play for the MCE which is all Houston can offer.

    2) Once Lewis signs any contract with Seattle, even if it is for the purpose of S&T Lewis will be a BYC player and almost impossible to trade for.

Lewis is preferable to Odom but there is precious little chance of it happening in the real world.

odom wouldn't be coming here to run this team, he'd be here to become another playmaking option besides francis. steve would still be the point-guard thus bearing most of the ball-handling duties. having odom would presumably give the rockets more options in their offense.

And also gives them one more player to run their dreaded ISO offense with...

Odom is not a very good shooter, and doesn't function well away from the ball.

The last thing we need is a player who relies on having the ball in his hands to be effective.

Think of how poorly Pippen fit into this offense. Then consider that Odom is a very poor man's Pippen.

    Forget about Rashard.

Like Chris Webber he has never had any intentions of coming here. He is using the Rockets to get a max contract from Seattle. Seattle's Wally Walker would never do any deal with us that could remotely help us. Think how bad we all hated Seattle in '93 and '96. Thats how Walker feels about the Rockets.

Finally - Rashard is a poor defender. He is an excellent 3 point shooter-excellent shooter period, handles the ball well, with no inside game.

And BTW he expects max money.

I do not want him on this team andy more than Glen Rice,,,,,,

If you havn't noticed, the Rockets suck. If we add a player like Odom, I don't think that the rockets can not get any worse... In fact I think that we would only get better.

Yeah, we would then get 3 or 4 more wins and still not make the playoffs.
