a good choice. there are plenty of high-class PGs becoming free agent this summer, but we need to clean out our salary space first, the $ 20M worthy trash.

Bibby has 2 years less miles and I think is a better fit because of his shooting range and jumper consistency. I would rather target him, though I like Miller as well. Bibby backed up by Lowry (trade Brooks) or Miller backed up by Brooks (trade Lowry) would be an improved and more experienced version of what we got now.

I don't think either is particularly realistic though, probably resigning Artest and Wafer (plus maybe a cheap back up C) is our offseason.

Some beat writer suggested they might use him as trade bait to get out of some of thier bad contracts, like Murphy. I would so trade McGrady for Murphy and Granger.

I like him. He is very underrated. He also would fit in with our half court system.
The cons are his age and his desire to get an extension as well as our salary cap problems. I would pass up on him with a certain amount of reluctance.
Lowry seems like a poor man's Andre Miller.

A point guard who can't shoot and not aggresive on the offense side of the ball. No if we go after Miller we might as well had kept Rafer.

Yeah, and while it's too soon to think about here's what I'm thinking:

TMac and local Philly-ist Lowery / Brand (who does not fit in) and Dre (who appears to want out, SnT).

Elton Brand gives 4/5 - with Scola/Yao = 32 mpg each. Philly 'buys' its way out of salary cap hell.

    NO.

we have brooks and lowry. both are VERY YOUNG, RAW, and always improving. and they will continue to need big minutes for them to reach their potential (i think lowry will probably start next yr with brooks off the bench since scoring is brooks' only expertise).

lowry has shown he can run this team; and brooks has shown he can score in this L. that's a very good PG combo as they learn the game.
