I couldn't be more happier than I am right now. This Rockets team played hard and thats whats got us to the second round. Yes Tracy is my favorite player but I'm still a Rockets fan, and like it or not Tracy is still part of the team so hes in the second round too.

Better for him to be in the second round from Chicago and not on the floor where the real action happens.

Im no Science major, but perhaps the Chemistry with this team was finally found just by adding a little VON2O and subtracting a majority of TRACY2O

Apparently, Yao only needed to score 15 points a game this whole series......

This series was a total team effort and you guys need to quit talking about McGrady and focus on the Lakers.

It's pretty much impossible to make a Tracy McGrady bait thread and not have epic success with catching fish, unless it gets locked.

I think it's quite funny that people think us FINALLY advancing a round is supposed to translate as some sort of "F*** YOU!" to T-Mac. Anything less than a 2nd round appearance would be an incredible failure of biblical proportions, with or without McGrady. If we lost to Portland, I'd be the first to make a "FIRE ADELMAN, HIRE TOM THIBODEAU!" thread. This team is so deep and versatile thanks to Morey, that no one player is so important that we need him just to win games (the way it was back then - just check our W/L in previous years when T-Mac was out).

If T-Mac was healthy but Yao was out, we would still beat Portland. If Yao and T-Mac were healthy but Artest was out, we would still beat Portland. Getting the favorable matchup in Portland was just as important as anything. I don't think we'd beat Utah this year either. It's doubtful we'd even beat Dallas.

No Tracy McGrady = No Championship

No Tracy McGrady = second round max nd bumped out or maybe conference finals

Loving this Rockets team right now but no Tmac? = no championship

at the end of the day there is only one winner in June...and the rest goes home empty

whatever Tmac's history against the Lakers...without him we can't beat them...see this season's 4 games against them

even when Tmac's not scoring he's still making the team win...at least he was and he will if he recovers back to at least a big proportion of his former self(not even mentioning the Orlando Tmac)..haha he gets rafer alston to score 31 even when he's not shouldering the scoring

You ignored an obvious fact that last year we only made slight changes to the roster so that we had a relatively smooth transition. In other words, Tmac remained the leader of that Rockets.

Now the story is completely different. Basically, we are playing team ball and this Rockets dose not rely on ANY single super star, which differentiates AD's coaching style from JVG's.

The current system, especially on the defensive end, requires enthusiasm and passion which tmac lacks. Check out the on/off courts stats on 82games, you will notice how poor Tmac performs on defensive end during his stay in Houston.

Tmac does not fit this Rockets anymore. TRADE HIM!

ill take a healthy tmac over a healthy artest any day if you have a good team and ur better than the opposing team as far as matchups u advance in the nba only unknowledgeable fans think the rockets advanced becuz they didnt have tmac the fact of the matter is if mcgrady was healthy we sweep portland and we take La to 7 games and the last couple of minutes of that game would be close it would be a toss up who would win.now we play la and we loose in 5 and struggle to score against the best offensive team in the nba. but i will say this mcgrady cant bash his teamates in these interviews and say he didnt have enough he has to just say he ran into a good team and he just has to go to the game 6 vs portland he has to find a way to make it to that game.

I am not sure why people are getting on Tmac, the Rockets are a better team when he is healthy. They would have a better chance to advance in the next round if he was playing. He is a great player. The only thing he did wrong this year was get hurt.
