He becomes a free agent this summer. Should we make a move for him?

I say NO. WHY? We need to build our team for future, not for the upcoming 1 or 2years.

Um, sure? We'll have to make some salaries fit. Who do we lose? Brooks and Wafer?

Wouldn't it be disrespectful to go after a new pointguard after Brooks and Lowry just won a championship for you? :p :D

    I'm being unrealistic,

but let's get Brandon Roy, Travis Outlaw, Lamarcus Aldridge, and Dwight Howard.

    Oh, and Ray Allen!

While somehow keeping the rest of our players. Yao, Scolandry Hayes, Artest Battier Wafer JamesWhite, Lowry Brooks.

    Unbeatable :p

Heh. TMac (21 M) for Miller (10M) and Iggy (11M). Git 'er done. Maybe throw in some Dalembert too to play behind Yao.

Nope don't want Andre Miller. We need to resign Artest and Wafer. Also need to find a taker on T-mac. We still need a legitimate back up Center for Yao next season but we can get into all that after we win the Finals this year.

I am all for Andre Miller if we can get him cheap. I am not sure why but last night Lowry was like 1-6 .. I am not convinced he has what it needs to give the Rockets the ring. As for AB, well, if he is hot .. he is good, otherwise, he is just bench player.

No, we should not get Andre Miller. We already have Kyle Lowry, we don't need another guy like that.

If we go after a new PG, it needs to be Mike Bibby.

But, I don't see us doing that. Why would we when we basically handed Aaron Brooks the keys this season, and he helped us get out of the first round?

I agree with this but the only way I see us getting Bibby is if we can unload T-mac. And we would probably have to trade away Brooks or Lowry because no way would we be able to sign all these guys with a lot of our contracts expiring in 2010.

Miller would be a nice pickup but I think our priorities are the following:

    1. Scoring wing (SG or SF)

    - We need to replace what McGrady was supposed to give us in terms of a scoring perimeter player. I think it's too risky too assume McGrady will be able to make an impact next season. We need a guy on the perimeter that can get the ball in his hands late in games and make things happen, i.e., a closer. We need our version of Kobe, Pierce, Lebron, Roy, etc... Obviously we won't get somebody in that tier but it would be nice to get a second tier guy along the lines of John Salmons or Kevin Martin.

    2. Backup C

    - No need to explain.

    3. PG upgrade

    - If we don't find a scoring wing and we get that backup C, a guy like Miller would be great. If we don't get a PG upgrade, we have Lowry who is pretty awesome in his own right. Like Miller, Lowry's only real weakness is the 3 ball. He's also a lot cheaper and almost a decade younger than Miller.

You gotta remember, this is for the BACKUP PG spot.

If I had to choose one to come off the bench, I'd go with Aaron Brooks without question.
