i was at the game in 407...it was hilarious!!! i love ron and von! and scola too.....and the whole team.
I was DVRing the game on 20 and TNT at the same time. Worrell made a big deal about it and the cameras showed pretty much the whole thing. So I switched over to TNT to see how they would handle it and they didn't show it or even say anything about it. 20 showed the stands, TNT showed the bench turning around and looking at it with very puzzled looks on their faces. Kind of weird.
that was one of the best moments i've ever seen. what made it great was his reaction when he finally got back on the court. big smile. the city literally embraced him.
they didn't show anything on tnt until he came out smiling so no one knew what happened when he went off but now we do THANKS lol
I thought it was a magic trick. I was waiting for Ron to reappear in the middle of the court riding a white tiger or something.
I don't think the TNT cameras caught it and the announcing team was just as puzzled as the Rockets bench.
well, technically Deke *was* there. He was at the entrance to the tunnel to the locker rooms, he got love from everyone that went by....very carefully tho since they didnt want to knock him off his crutches.
wow! how did I miss that?! fantastic! I watched CCTV5 whole time so their feed apparent missed that action, damn.
EXCELLENT POINT! To see him on good terms in the crowd means a whole lot. I think not only that moment, but this year could be retribution. Him proving he's not as perceived. Now, if he can turn it around so I can stop yelling "PASS THE BALL RON, DON'T HEAVE IT! PASS IT STOP DRIBBLING! PASS IT!"
"I was gonna take a sip, but there were too many cameras." lol, he shoulda have the fans block the view and take a sip
Some of you may not see how significant it was. The last time Artest entered the stands like that, it was total hell. He was branded as a thug and his career could have came to a screeching halt. There's a list of NBA players who went down the tubes due to stupid acts during a game...most infamously, Kermit Washington. But look how Artest has turned it around. The fans' reception of Artest yesterday in the stands was most polar opposite thing that could have happened compared to that brawl in Detroit. He was on the teetering edge of being the next NBA bum but now he co-lead the Rockets to their first series win in 12 years. I'm happy for Ronny.
