Why can't we just celebrate as fans of a great team w/o attacking TMac?

I have no idea when Rockets fans became Red Sox fans. Just so sensitive. What if Tracy was talking about the Rockets beating Cavs in NBA finals. Then everybody would start talking about he jinxing the Rockets. You also don't wake up the sleeping giant which is the Lakers.

Anyplace anytime in the world when two sides colide you have bunch of morons taking eather side. It doesn't count which side has more of those morons. And it doesn't change the fact that one side is (more) right than another from objective point of view. It just matters whether you are one of those morons that take REactions based on other's actions. Now, looking at your thread and reply here..

    Actually, good citizen...

    ...I'd think it is.

With all the shouting that goes on around here, nobody's paying alot of attention to common sense anyway.

    But, having said that...

I get the angst and anger Tracy McGrady has created. I really do understand why people are relentless in their flogging of the guy. McGrady's faults aren't any more obvious than, say, Kobe Bryant's in regards to teammates.

Keven Garnett was getting bad publicity for some of the things he says and does on the court. About how Garnett chews up his own teammates or curses out opponents. As if he didn't do the exact same things in Minnesota, where nobody saw it or cared because his team was awful most of the time.

McGrady's individual talent has been his own worst enemy. His mouth runs a close second. And nobody gets more ticked off at him than I do when he makes those emotional left turns of his that send him over the edge of a cliff PR wise.

But he was NEVER the solely reason why the Rockets failed to win in the playoffs. The blame game is a lot easier to play than the real thing.

Ask Rafer Alston or Luther Head or Shane Battier or any other Rocket around here the past few seasons who made the Rockets easy pickings in the postseason, and left Yao and McGrady out in the cold.

What this playfoff series win does is indict those who came before in management and coaching, hiding behind inferior talent and short-sighted coaching because you have two top-15 NBA players on your roster. You get to say the salary cap is the issue that you can't win. You get to say things like you trust veterans other than young players. Or that defense wins championships and ignore the offense. Or whatever excuse you needed to hide behind.

Daryl Morey and Rick Adelman get the credit for this win. They changed the mindset and culture, and most importantly the PRODUCTION, from the rest of the Rockets not named McGrady or Yao in a shorter time than I thought possible, honestly.

But they put a decent TEAM on the floor, finally. I got a big bag of cookies for the both of them.

I'd rather cheer for Von Wafer and Kyle Lowry and Aaron Brooks and Luis Scola and Carl Landry than pretend that they failed the way those that came before them had.

I don't hate anybody enough to put my common sense and 20/20 vision on the shelf, just to make sure somebody knows I'm alive.

Not only does Tracy McGrady not deserve that kind of treatment, he really never earned it.

God bless America. Where adequate brains aren't a prerequisite for freedom oif speech...

1,because he dont penetrate and be at ease with jump shot .
    2,because he has no defence
3,because he smiled when he was beat
4,because his injuries (back ,ankle ,knee.......) are suspicious in my eyes.
5,because he had the privilege refusing the back to back games.
6,because he said the rockets was lack of talents .
7,because he said he wanted to play with shaq, ducan while he himself had left Orlando and selected the rockets .
8,because he said it is on me ,blah, blah ,why 6 and 7 occurred?
9,because he was supporter of the Lakers rather than the Rockets.
10,because he didnt inform his surgeryto his team
11,because he had never been out of 1st round
12,because his salary accounted for one-third of the team
13,because he got fat in the beginning of the every season

    TMac/ Ron/ Lakers

I keep hearing everyone saying we should get rid of TMac. While I am NOT a fan of how he "announced" his surgery and has been injury prone the past few seasons (primarily due from playing a hard style of basketball most of his career), I do think its unfair to say he couldnt "take" us out of the first round.

When TMac was healthy, he brought it night in and night out. Will he ever be the same? No. But saying ROn Artest is our new "star" isnt accurate. How many points did he average against Portland? I know its somewhere around 15 or less. SO.. We need him to step up, stop taking bad shots, will us to victory.. and we need YOU to realize we are going to have to play much much better if we think we are going to beat the Lakers.

I am the biggest of all big Rockets fan, but we are going against the best team in Basketball. Lets just hope we play our best.

Thank You for making this thread. We need more like these instead of threads that divide the fans *ahem*. TMac is still apart of the Rockets and I bet hes just as excited for his teammates to finally get to the 2nd round.

Just can't leave T-Mac alone. You are going to wish you had him against the Lakers.

Clutchfans is where the the most pessimist of all fans are.
But its also the place where the most hardcore fans are.

So you just got to take the bad along with the good.
