The only question with Yao is hes not proven and its uncertain whether he will be the next Dream or Bradley. Unlike lebron James who has played w/ the Cav's and showed he can compete at an NBA level even if the are the Cavs. This highschooler is getting all the scouts attention even if hes not in this years draft. People say he is going to be like Kobe just a little better thats hard to imagine passing him up.

In an ironic twist, I think we would take him.

If he isn't number 1 next year, someone's gunna be fired.

    Not necessarily.

Remember, people said the same thing about Mihm last year.

Although he will probably be drafted #1, noone in the Rockets organization would be fired if the pick was traded or if someone else was taken with the pick.

He would have been the first pick if he came out after his sophomore year. That's different than Mihm. Trust me, someone will be fired (not talkin about the Rockets, if they have the top pick next year then something went terribly wrong), if Lebron isn't picked #1.

The Mihm as number one was just speculation because Chicago liked him a lot, but they didn't win the lottery so it was dismissed. The only way I can see LeBron James not going number one is if Kendrick Perkins puts on a hell of show this year. I could see a team going for Perkins with the rarity of great, true center today.

What happens if LeBron is injured?

What if someone makes a big impact in the NCAA next year, such as Dunleavy if he goes back to school?

What if James goes to college?

Too many "what ifs" to declare him the #1 pick already. Don't forget team needs will have a say in the pick as well.

Lopez would have been a lotto pick if he came out as a high schooler. He went to college and was exposed. I'm not saying James would be like that but Its possible. No one can say how good James would be, but its cool.

Kendrick Perkins is going to be the first pick in the Draft next year. This kid is something else, maybe the next Shaq in the making. He is 6-11 and 260 and is a junior in High School. He will grow atleast another inch or 2 before the draft most likely he will be around 7 feet 280 when draft day comes around.

He has more quickness than Curry and is not a big. He is only 6-11 260(only?lol) as a junior so I am guessing that he will grow some as a senior, maybe be around 7-0 280 or something. What is Curry? 6-10 290? Anyway give Curry time he will be very good, I promise that.

The guy already beat up on NBA talent (eventhough it was the Cavs, it was NBA talent).

Perkins, by all means, didn't dominate this past year. He looked slower and less athletic than he did as a sophomore. He actually dropped in most rankings from the universal #2 player in his class to somewhere lower in the top ten.

To put in perspective, Curry was a much more highly regarded high school player. Heck, even Alton Ford was probably a better player. Perkins will most likely be a lotto pick because of his size, but he has a lot of questions to answer this next year.

    He's overrated as hell too.

In the game I saw him play in, he made no impact, because the other team simply turned up the tempo.

The tempo has to be slow for him to be a factor at all.
