Every team loses to teams that they shouldn't lose against, . . even the Lakers. This team has great chemistry, which has been lacking in a looooong time. Now's not the time to look back, but to look forward. There is nobody that watches basketball that could tell me with a straight face that if the Rockets competed like they did tonight, they aren't a threat to anybody in the league. Whether they can do it consistently is the question. Enjoy the ride, my brother.

You are so right. Those games were the difference. Adelman could have rested his starters in Dallas. I knew when we were blowing those games they would bite in the long run. Well, we were going to end up with LA anyway, might as well take them on now.

Wow those Dbag 'experts' even had the nerve to say failzers in 6?!?! Seriously even though the media are rocket haters saying we wouldn't make 7 games is crack.

Underdogs blew them out by ~20!!

I wasn't sure where to post this, and it probably doesn't deserve its own thread, but Clutchfans officially peaked tonight.

I wondered what it would take, and I guess I got my answer

LOL I hate to be Debbie Downer here but I was more proud when they won 22 in a row. The BEST player went down, the talent level was significantly inferior IMO, and they cranked out 22 when many expected them to drop out of the playoffs!

And the way they played was inspiring, the defense, the team oriented play, haven't seen anything like it since.

Looking back, I think both this year and last year should be called SUCCESS, considering what the teams have been through, with the players they have.

They might be less talented, but they just out-worked & out-played their opponents as a TEAM.

Yeah in some ways its mission accomplished. But I still think it also depends on the way we lose to the lakers. Do we bow out or do we fight hard and lose to them in game 7

these last two seasons are so close to each other in how proud the team made me, but this year broke the first round curse. the difference is success on top of that pride.

How proud I was last year during the 22 win streak versus being proud of the team this year is like loving your children. They are both special in their own right. This year the obstacles were many. There were constant lineup changes, the McGrady situation, and then the Alston trade. Did I leave anything out?

This Portland series wasn't easy but they accepted the challenge like the many challenges that came their way through the regular season. Nothing fancy, just pure determination.
