HP just announced today that about half the very large campus on SH249 has been sold off to the Lone Star College System. About 6-7 large building will now become the core site for the Lone Star College System.

    Classes will start in 2010.

Since all the HP buildings are connected by the "spine," I'll be upset if college kids start sneaking into our offices to steal stuff. ("Badges? We don't need no stinking badges!")

Traffic in the area will definitely be worse, and this also means that all my "outside food" lunch places will be even MORE crowded. Bah!

Is it just me or does Lone Star College have a CRAPLOAD of $$$? They have campuses everywhere and they are rather large.

It was an internal email to HP employees.

Probably. They're one hell of a lot better than HCC.

Wow. I've never even heard of Lone Star College. Are they new or been around a while?

I think several community colleges (Montgomery, North Harris, Cy Fair, etc) banded together to form the Lone Star College system.

Montgomery, Tomball, Kingwood, etc. have always been part of the North Harris Community College something something (it had like 7 letters in the acronym). Because it got so complicated, they changed to Lonestar College about 2 years ago.

Same here, but since I'm not from the Houston area I guess there's not a reason to know about them. From the initial posts I thought it was a 4 year school, not a JC...
