Can we all recall the last time the Rockets had an opportunity to close out a playoff series in Game 6 at home? Well, it was in 1995, that WCF series with the San Antonio Spurs, with the Rockets winning that one after the road teams won each of the first five games.

Let's all hope for the same result this time around. GO ROCKETS!!!

Watched the first half of this game. Normally I only watch BB when the Rockets play. Actually I was only halfway paying attention to the game when my roommate started watching it and made some interesting comments, which I had to agree with. She knows nothing about BB and I don't know that much myself, but we both have been watching the Rockets games. Effectively we made comparisons between the Houston and Portland games and the Denver/New Orleans game - and could not believe the difference - at least to us - not knowing much - but the D/NO game was boring!!! The announcers: boring! We noted the spacing between the players. Almost like the defense was saying, "oh you have the ball let me get out of your way". Much was said about that game being played hard and we looked at each other like.......you gotta be kidding. It was so sedate. Fouls? What fouls? May have seen one flop. There was no blood drawn - no scratch marks on their players - just completely different than watching the H/P games. It was like they were playing "gentlemen's basketball". Not that I think Houston plays rough. (I always rather thought the Jazz were thugs). Anyway, this was an eye-opener for sure to see other teams play - and how non-physical they played. This was the impression of two know-nothing spinsters. Now I really understand what Yao complains about - having guys all over him etc.

new orleans was easily the weakest team in the west.
everyone knew they would lose....especially after that 58!
so honestly, i think all the effort of that series was tanked from the get go.
    which explains the boring stuff.

We also watched the tail end of the game on right before - Orlando? - and thought much the same thing.
I don't want a bloodbath or anything, but I have to say watching the Rockets play the Trailblazers - all play with such intensity that I am afraid one of our guys is going to get hurt.
Also.......the center for Denver is Anderson? The Birdman?
Gag. Don't know much about him - but jeez. I had a moment of fear when talking about him - pray pray pray that he would never end up in Houston. Surely Les A would never take on a guy like that, would he?
I have noticed the Rockets are a clean-cut bunch - mannerly - just class.
I definitely could not watch them if we had the likes of Anderson.

Anderson's not really a thug like JR Smith, Nene, or Carmelo. He just has a lot of tattoos that make him look like one. He's another one of those gets-by-on-effort type players; I wouldn't mind seeing him back up Yao whatsoever. He's a blocked shot machine.

Nene and Kenyon Martin are the starting bigs for Denver. What do you have against the Birdman? He has taken all the necessary steps to rectify himself. I see him as a high energy defensive presence. Although he definitely shows off a lot more than the avg player should, his blocks are game changing and help to demoralize the opponent/opposing fans. I'd love to have him in a rockets uniform.

Rockets would have swept the Hornets had they played the Hornets in first round. Hornets are just a scrub team carried by CP himself, just like the Miami Heat that is carried by Wade himself.

Denver did their job mainly cause they have a floor general aka Billups. We could get him with the price of TMAC. And now who is our general on court? the freaking AB? what a joke.

the rockets couldn't sweep anyone. no way the hornets would have struggled as much as they did against denver as they did us. our bigs are TOO SLOW! denver's ability to guard the pick n roll is why they were able to blow them out so easily. it would take us at least 6 to beat the hornets.
