All the years of frustration have taken a toll on me personally but I have the cure-all for all you guys that have a wife/girlfriend who does not understand your pain:

    Marry a Power Dancer!

My wife danced for the Rocket's several years ago and she became a huge fan during that time. She understands my pain and supports me when they lose. As a fan of the Rocket's, there is nothing better than knowing your wife can appreciate your moodiness without issue!

I was in London on business during the last week of the regular season. (You guys may remember my thread -- Help, i'm stuck in london with no access to Rockets).

At the time, i thought we were going to have HCA in the first round. Instead of staying in the UK, traveling to scotland and cool places like that i cut the trip short so I wouldn't miss playoff games.

Yeah, I dropped scotland, made my wife miss it too, so that I could watch Rockets basketball.

Mine, too. I'm usually pissed the rest of the night, but a-OK in the morning. We'll see how I feel once the Rockets get knocked out of the playoffs (though it's ok if it's to the Lakers).

I can't sleep at night because I'm thinking about the game that just transpired, how potential opponents are playing, or coming games.

I can't pay attention at school because I'm thinking about news relevant to that day (Wafer NOOOOO!)

I can't communicate with anyone during the game no matter how important what they're trying to tell me is (Fires are natural, the game is on!)

I struggle to keep myself from punching walls, near by kittens and babies when things go bad.

Otherwise no, I don't know what you're talking about :)

I will be more productive at work, I can't concentrate on my job. I can't sleep much at night after the game and I dont hang out with (non rocket fan) friends during games, I also will probably play nba 2k9 less also once play offs end...so yeah, but I dont think it's really effected anyone in my life all that much.

For big games like this one tonight, I'm a sob-for-a-few-hours fan, my boyfriend is a curse-loud-and-throw-things fan. I get so stressed out watching Rockets games that I sometimes just can't take it. I'll wait for the final score and watch the recorded version.

My family is supportive about it. I have to say, it's nice having a significant other that truly cares and we understand what each other is going through.

Nahh, everyone I know is [nearly] as big a Rockets fan as I am, including the wife and rest of the family.

Plus, I don't let the bad games get me too down.

Then there's the fact that, due to my current employment situation, this one has been the most 'alone' I've ever watched a playoff series.

    GO ROCKETS!

I know my wife is tired of my mood swings. I try so hard to stay mellow during a game but this series has brought the rage out of me.

I am afraid you would destroy your house if we fail to pass the 1st round again. That's even worse ....

Most of my family and friends are at least moderately interested in the Rockets and they all understand my passion. Once, I started "talking" to a guy that didn't follow them and...that didn't last very long. :p

Yes, she danced in the late 90's early 00's and is still a huge fan of the Rocket's! You'll notice the wonderful pajama uniforms but the group she danced with was still the best to this day!

Tonight however, we'll both be watching and pacing behind the couch!

My heart beats like crazy, my hands shake, I get weird cold sweats, and tunnel vision while watching rockets games. I don't think its healthy :(. My gf just wants it to be over so I can live.

My parents are somewhere in between. They'd like to see the team do well but it won't affect them otherwise. They know I'm hysterical this time of the year though. My Mom told me she was kind of hoping we don't win the series since I've vowed to get a Von-Hawk if we advance. I've since then disowned my own mother.

Ha ha, my wife will be glad when its over. She knows how crazy I get while watching these games. She sometimes likes to root for the other team just to mess with me.
