    AUSABLE FORKS, N.Y. -- A longtime girl's basketball coach at Holy Name School in Ausable Forks has been charged with giving alcohol to a teenage boy and having sex with him.

    Joey Strong, 35, of Ausable Forks, faces felony third-degree rape and misdemeanor counts of endangering the welfare of a child and first-degree unlawful dealing with a child in connection with the alleged tryst, which police said took place at a Queensbury hotel in March, according to court documents obtained by WPTZ.com.

    Neighbors of the accused mother were in disbelief. "It was a shock, a shock. I would have never imagined in a million years," said Joe Labombard.

    "It surprised me," said Edith Beardsley

    School principal Jean Pulsifer told WPTZ.com that the woman had coached girls basketball as a volunteer for eight years at the school, but also said she was not an employee at the school.

    Pulsifer said in a statement, "The incident for which Mrs. Strong has been accused has nothing to do with her association with Holy Name school. during her time as a volunteer coach no policies were broken or infringed upon."

    On March 30, Strong allegedly brought Coors Light beer to several underage people at the Comfort Suites, police said, and had sex with the boy that night.

    With a name like Joey Strong for a girls basketball coach, I would have expected someone much more masculine.

    That being said, are these stories really news anymore? It seems like there's one every couple of days.

    I assume with the lightning quick media, we hear more of these stories today than we would have back in the day. Does anybody think that maybe it is happening more often? Is it possible that seeing these stories maybe intrigues some people to want to do it thinking "I'm not stupid, I'll never get caught.."?

    seriously while i know a man could be raped its always funnier hearing that the man was raped.

    so the coach was a mom too? dang this kid must have had a third leg or something.


    i bet the authorities found out because the kid probably bragged about it to his friends at school.


    and nWo as much as you're my buddy and all...the sad thing is that something like this isnt really hotballa material anymore. It would have to be like an orgy between 4 teachers and the entire cheer squad nowadays

    She is one of the better looking teachers, and she looks young too. I can't understand why so many people get caught doing this and yet it still happens all the time. :confused: Am I the only one who after reading the girls basketball coach part thought this was gonna be some lesbian action?

    I would like to see more photos of this 35yr old teacher.. She looks decent in that MUG shot!. What if she did herself up in little black teddy.. Hmmm lol
