I am not kidding. I said out loud to my friends that Rocks would lose game 2 and 5 before it happened. Why? Both games were on NBATV only, not national TV like TNT or ESPN. NBA is a business, and business is never about fairness. All about money. NBA had it all planned out, game 2 and 5 were for Portland. Refs making lousy calls with far less viewers on NBATV and getting away with it. Look at all the calls for game 2 and 5 against the Rocks. Screw the NBA games, I will only watch Rocks games from here on. NBA will never again get my money with other games. Freaking show business that NBA has become. BTW: The playbook for the crooks is Lakers vs. Cavs for the final. Wait and see.
Let's see. Cleveland won 66 games, and the next two teams (Boston and Orlando) are missing key players, and are struggling to beat .500-level teams in the first round. LA won 65 games, 11 more than anyone else in the conference. And you want to argue its a conspiracy when they meet in the Finals? Funny.
I just got done reading a thread on NBA.com where 50 people were complaining that "this 76ers Magic series is the WORST officiated series I have ever seen". Woe is me... woe is me...................... Utah, Portland, Houston, Orlando, San Antonio.... it doesn't matter who you are.. if things aren't going your way - it's the officials' fault!!!111
So how does the NBA as a business benefit from the Nuggets winning by 58 points the other night in New Orleans. How does the NBA benefit from its biggest international star (Yao Ming) never having advanced past the first round so far in his career. If it was all business do you really think the NBA would rather have the Jazz advance (loved by a million people in Utah), rather then the Rox (loved by a billion people in China). How does it benefit from a small town market with a "boring" superstar winning four titles in the past 10 years. Everyone whines about the Refs. It just makes me laugh that people come on here and make fun of the Blazer fans for complaining, and then one loss later they do the same thing.
Saying that the two best teams in the league are going to play in the finals is not exactly calling out a conspiracy.
you mean refs were feeling pressure from up top to extend the series so that they could make more money off lucrative markets and ad revenue... wait wait ... you mean they want to make money and approach their decisions like... business decisions and not like naive puppy dogs? WHAT? OH MY GOD!
ur first point is to move the Hornets out of N.O. to a wealthier city (Las Vegas but they seem to be hurting right now) the Las Vegas Hornets they are probably going to change their name maybe the 21s or Gamblers
Actually, I talked to Yao today, and he said that he, Ron, and Shane all decided to tank it in game 5 because they wanted to wait and win the series in Houston, that way, they could go out partying with me tomorrow night. Then, I reminded Yao of the fact that I live in the Buffalo, NY area, and he said, "No problem! I'll fly you out for the game!" I leave for the airport in 2 hours. SWEET!
In fact, ROX lost game2 and 5 in Portland , Only because Stern said Portland has a beautiful home court after watching game1. refs didnt help Portland in game 1, that means they didnt help Stern. So Refs should help Portland in the next 2 home-games in Portland.
That also means Rox will lose if they play game 7. So we must capture Portland in game 6, otherwise we'll have no chance to win it and pass 1st round. God Bless Rox!
Im no conspiracy theorist, but I can't deny that extendending the series was in the back of my mind. 6 ticky tack fouls in 2 minutes starting in the fourth makes me frown.
Then why doesn't Commissioner David Stern ever award the Portland Trailblazers the All Star Game? The Trailblazers have yet to host one since joining the league in 1970, and since then, there have been several teams that hosted one at least twice, with the Rockets being one of them.
u had me going up until the 2nd sentence.. only thing i find odd is how we lost both games on NBA TV. as far as officiating.. a lot of it is the players. if oden would stop grabbing yao like that...there wouldnt be a need to blow 100 whistles a game so portland fans can whine.
