I'm normally not one to complain about the officiating but I took issue with how Portland was into the bonus 4.5 minutes into the 4th quarter off of silly touch fouls that they weren't really calling all game on either side. All of a sudden, in the 4th quarter no less, these are being whistled? Whatever happened to "Just let 'em play?"

Officiating was not the problem, it was our fault that we lost. Officials will always slightly favor the home team.

Couldn't watch the game. But seeing what you guys said, I feel a little better and have bigger hope on we winning this series.

The scene which Finley slapped the ball out of Jon Barry's hand when BOTH feet out of bounds sometimes appeared in my nightmare.

F*** the NBA! If other coaches as McNillan or Mark Cuban(not a coach) do it! Morey and RA should complain as well! TIRED of being the classy guys! Life, just as competition, is a jungle, so get your claws out because there is no huggy bear in it!

U cant blame the refs, cuz the Blazers have one of the best homecourt fans there while the Rox has the worst. :(

4th quarter officiating ruined our momentum two times as I can remember, it was killing and dispirited our players on court, consequently made them make stupid mistakes play by play afterwards. However, it is over and unchanged. Hope referees are on our side in Game 6.

To me the game was winnable despite the foul and FT discrepancies.

Just because AB is quick does not make him a pg.

Let's face it this guy loves to shoot and against all logic will swing the ball away rather than pass it to Yao.

Next game, make AB dribble the ball past the backcourt and pass it to someone else e.g. Battier to initiate the play. Use AB's "speed" to cut to the basket rather than watch him botch the play up time and time.

    He is another Luther Head.
Good thing that next game is on our court, so we can kick those referees' xxx if we want

Its not the fouls you call . . it is when you call them
When you call them early . .. then the defense is on its heels
cause they cannot breathe on the offensive man
it puts the defense at a disadvantage and they cannot play as hard

Why would Lowry drive like he use to??? To pick up Offensive fouls? Get hacked to hell like Wafer with not call?

I doubt if you watched the game. Because you can say that without even knowing which game we are talking about.

Yes, if we can make several critical shots maybe we can still win, but this is not the point. No team won this game, the referee are the winner!

In yesterday's game, driving to the lane and getting fouled by a blazer = refs call traveling

It will.. watch.. The Refs will make crap calls against the rockets at the beginning of the game.. and the blazers will be like.. oh wow, awesome calls on their home floor..

then, in the second half, during inopportune moments when momentum MIGHT be shifting from the rockets to blazers, the refs will make calls that help the rockets stop the momentum..

No need for the rockets to come through in key moments--the refs will handle this as they have all series. Rockets win Game 6!

It's sad, but very likely true... at the end of the game, if blazers are pulling within say 4ish.. the refs will make a BS call and have the rockets up 6 in no time, so that momentum will favor the rockets and Artest might have more confidence in his nail in the coffin 3 next time down the floor.. that 9 point lead will have blazers fans saying "we failed" and rockets fans saying "hah" while the nba and its refs are saying "job well done"

Like someone said on here earlier, it wasn't the officiating (although the refs had a few missed calls in the last quarter) that cost us the game. At one point the boxscore said we had 14 TO and the Blazers had 14 pts off of those. If we cut down on the turnovers we should be fine.

Hmm so this must be what it feels like to read the Blazer's board after they lose.

I am sorry but those of you who said the fouls and officiating were ok are blind. You simply are just watching the game and have no clue.

Fouls that were called on The blazers were mostly none-factor calls. meaning no foul shoots given or still before penalty. Now compare those with Rockets, most of our foul calls were given when they were in act of shoot.
Not to mention we got bunch of traveling offense charges calls.

That's the trick to the trade. The refs made it seem like a fair game on both sides so average Joe like you wouldn't notice it.

The first half, Scola was on fire. Guess what happened? Refs called fouls on Scola which stopped his momentum. Then the refs made it up by calling no shooting foul on the other end to make it up. Which doesn't change the score at all.

Then, shoot fouls on landry, hayes for guarding and playing D. This got the blazers back as they have confidences and shooting hands back.

Ok, now AB and lowry both trying to create something by taken to the hole. OUr points in the paint are 10 or 13 pts more than Blazers at this time. However 3 times we got no call and ball was taken away when our guards tried to penetrate. no shooting fouls, but no if its roy the BS calls were made on Battier.

The call for fouls were not too signicant, however the timing of it and the players that got called were cruical.
