There's alot of underrated players in this league so I'm gonna go team by team with who I think the most underrated player on each team is: Eastern Conference Atlanta Hawks - Jason Terry. Shareef gets some credit at least Boston Celtics - Paul Pierce until just recently Charlotte Hornets - Elden Campbell easily. Chicago Bulls - Travis Best, an excellent ball handler Cleveland Cavaliers - Andre Miller Detroit Pistons - I'd say Ben Wallace earlier but now prolly Barry Indiana Pacers - Reggie Miller still Miami Heat - Eddie Jones playing great despite all the Heat troubles. Milwaukee Bucks - No underrated players on this underachieving team. New Jersey Nets - Aaron Williams New York Knicks - Mark Jackson one of the best ballhandlers in the biz. Orlando Magic - Darrell Armstrong Philadelphia 76ers - Aaron Mckie..his injury is the reason for the 76ers disappointing season. Washington Wizards - Chris Whitney Toronto Raptors - Keon Clark Western Conference Dallas Mavericks - Najera or Adrian Griffin Denver Nuggets - James Posey Golden State Warriors - No one really Houston Rockets - Kenny Thomas Los Angeles Clippers - Elton Brand Los Angeles Lakers - Rick Fox Minnesota Timberwolves - Terrell Brandon.. best ast/to ratio ever Phoenix Suns - Shawn Marion Portland Trail Blazers - Ruben Patterson Sacramento Kings - Mike Bibby until recently where he's blown up San Antonio Spurs - Bruce Bowen Seattle SuperSonics - Brent Barry Utah Jazz - Andrei Kirilenko Memphis Grizzlies - Brevin Knight should start at pg.. 1.5 steals and 5.7 assists in 21 minutes!?
Only problem with Fortson is he shoots a horrible fg % for a power forward and turns it over almost every time he touches the ball. Kinda disappointing because he'd be a great player if he could only hold on to the ball and shoot a decent % from usually right by the basket. He also doesn't get any blocks or steals (a la Ben Wallace).
Hell Yeah! I love that guy! Mad defense, jump shot, the whole package. Definetley underrated. Robinson and Carlisle took the Pistons from 10th to 2nd (Jon Barry helped a little also). Why exactly is Golden State taking him OFF THE BENCH? If they're not going to use him, trade him! Get a PG! Geez...
Fortson is a rebounding machine, unfortunately Brian Winters is playing coach. Fortson played only 28 minutes per game and averaged 11+ boards. Even Jamison saw his PT go down. The guy is an idiot, you would think after an entire season you would have a good starting lineup. But even the last few games he kept moving people in and out of the starting lineup. Anyway, back to Fortson, he's a great rebounder but can do little else with his slow footwork and poor shooting touch, plus he has been injury prone.
