When Artest plays like tonight he needs to be put on the bench. It's not just that he played badly, but that he was out of control and undisciplined on offense.

This off season, we're going to have to decide whether or not to resign Artest. A lot of people claim he has matured and I think that might be true, but Rick Adelman is scared to death of disciplining him. If Artest is able to handle a benching it would greatly increase my confidence in his future with the Rockets.

Artest has proved throughout the series he can be mature, but chose not to in this series. I have no problem with Artest, because even though he jacks up stupid jumpers all the time he makes it up defensively. Aaron Brooks is garbage on both ends, He's our J.R Smith without his ability to score or defend.

He has a low BB IQ, something you cannot change
Put him together with AB to run the ball is a trully disaster

Nothing needs to be tested on Artest, he's trash, nothing less and nothing more.

HE'S JUST NOT THAT GOOD. it's that simple.

the only thing he can do on offense is post people up and he refuses to do that. he can't dribble, pass, create, shoot, run pick and rolls...

i don't know why nobody has the guts to tell him that.

YOU'RE JUST NOT THAT GOOD RON. i hope you're reading this.

    1) post up and that's it
    2) play defense

how hard is it to do when you only have 2 responsibilities to do?

    I completely agree.

He's just not a good basketball player.

    Ronald Mcdummy......yes lame...I know....just like Artest.

dude is a nutcase. I really hope we don't re-sign his ass. He never seems to be with in the offense. Completely disrupts it by jacking up shots.

    Totally out of sync.

Some of you guys need to appreciate what he does defensively. Because he defends Roy the best out of all our perimeter guys. Sure he's a complete psycho nut-case offensively SOMETIMES. But defensively he makes good decisions most of the time. We've seen in the 1st 4 games he can make good decisions and not jack up shots.

I think he'll be tamed for the next game and win.

Leave him in a room. On one side of the room, a huge tub of Lego's and some cotton candy. On the other side, a book on how to be a better basketball player and a filet mignon. See which one he goes to. Attach electrodes to his testicles and give him a shock if he goes to the wrong side.

Exactly what I would say. Post up, take spot up 3's... not dribble around and jack up a 3. And play lock-down defense. Don't do anything else.

I think you were sarcastic there, but at least it was only 25 points and not 40 like Game 2. Artest's maturity problem is offensively, defensively he's a not a dirty player that acts like a scum bag like Kenyon Martin.

Truly, I think we just need a tougher coach. Rick Adelman is too soft on this team, Adelman is smart but slow.

What the hell is the point of defense when you ruin the offense?

This arguement is basically the same as McGrady on playing offense but playing jack defense.

If Ron ruins the offense for you, don't expect him to forever keep the defense going. The opponent will score sometime soon. Just like how if McGrady fired and missed 10 shots in a role, he'll eventually hit a couple.

That's a very good point, sadly we will need to beat teams with our defense and not our offense. That being said, the 2nd round is the farthest we can go.

That's why Battier is so good. Even though he isn't a great scorer, he plays within the system, only take open shots, and passes readily.
