Yao played well. It's just that he couldn't get touches and then when he DOES get them, he gets cold from getting all that banging and running around.

The thing is we are beating the front in the 1st half, but it seems like in the 2nd half the Blazers adjust to it, but we can't adjust to their adjustment. It is very frustrating to watch.

1st half Scola gets great looks from beating the front.

2nd half they front but they front and also adjusted to Scola getting open looks by not giving him those looks.

We simply have to adjust to their adjustment.

I love how Lowry got a foul because Oden pushed him into Roy on a moving screen

Technically, yes. But we gotta take it like a rubber match and end this in 6. Better shut off their confidence, Or else, they'll take the momentum, the homecourt, and the scare. After the young guns won by a respectable 11 points, sure enough they'll muster much hype from this. So Rockets should finish in 6, nothing beyond it.

I don't think Yao is nice to AB or Ron after this game. Yao was just PISSED! But that's nice to see because this is HIS team.

Houston didnt play well enough to win this one, period. They really should have only lost by a few pts though, maybe 4 or 5. The refs kind of extended the lead with some questionable calls, but the league had to do that after what Nate said. Can you imagine the heat thye'd take if Houston pulled this one out?

Now the refs can just go to houston, where the rockets will come out strong, get a lead going, the refs will give THEM the benefit of the doubt on calls and therefore allow them a secure lead on their way to a win. Rockets win, league wins, portland loses, but they can't completely blame the refs now.

I don't understand why Yao can't be a b**** and tell his team off to light a fire under their asses.

i am not surprised at all. if i were Yao, i would be passive too. because his teammates just don't like to pass ball to him. i believe coach RA didn't arrange a specific plan to get ball to Yao. He felt like he was not happy from the beginning of this game.

Please don't come on the board just to put Yao down and make up lies about him just because of his race and nationality. Everyone knows what you are doing, you are wasting our time and yours. Remember what Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. said about race.

I hope we come out focused in game 6. Because we went like five steps backward from game 4. The same ol sloppy fourths that have been haunting us for years. We showed no composure. To lose a close one in their house would have been acceptable, but weplayed like rooks in the 4th.

0 FGA for Yao in 1st quarter. That's shocking! I really don't care about bad shot/forced shot/whatever shot, at least gave Yao a couple attempts in 1st quarter to get him into his shooting rhythm. For Christ sake, the Blazers played Yao 1-1 the whole game.

It's crazy to think why people feel that Yao doesn't care about winning. YAO has heart! It's just that he couldn't get the freakin' ball. He works so hard to get position and when he does get it, his teammates ignore him. That just pisses me off! I wonder why it doesn't piss RIK off.

Yeah and in the clutch this team looks lost when teams inevitably front Yao. That's why this team is so bad when closing out games and like JVG said, they need a good lead to win games.

That's why I didn't like when Adelman was defensive about who was getting shots, he said it didn't matter...yet the Offense, our offense runs best through Yao this season. So in the 4th qtr, it does matter. The other 3qtrs you can run it through Scola, or Artest, or Brooks...but when it matters it has to be run through the guy.

That's what is really stopping the Rockets from having a chance at beating the Lakers, and stopped them from winning tonight or possibly sweeping this team.

Unfortunately it's not going to change now, it's been a problem all season and it'd be a miracle if we suddenly found a answer for it. We can find workarounds, like Scola jumpshots, Brooks driving making them pay, they eventually as you said, Blazers just make another adjustment and the Rockets offense stalls again.
