I have about 10 different friends that have worked for Blopcklbuster and generally like it. It has its pros and cons (and hilarious stories) but I think in general its a good job working for a video store. Free movie rentals is a nice perk too. ......

Go watch the movie "Clerks," then ask that question again.

Just because they serve you...doesn't mean they like you!

i had a friend that worked at H.V. a few summers ago and she loved her job... three free movies per night, and we (all of her friends) would come in during her shift just to talk and hang out while she organized movies... doesn't pay jack, but its cool just to keep you busy during the summers if you're still in school...

My favorite job of all time was working in a video store. New video releases are released every Tuesday, but they got to the store on Friday, so my boss actually told me to take home movies over the weekend so I could give recommendations. The only bad part of the job was the late fees. I never realized how much of our business came off late fees, but I estimated it was at least 1/3. Most people were cool about paying late fees, but there were some people that had some weird stories to get out of paying, usually having something to do with an ex-husband or ex-wife.

Plus, this was one of those OLD video stores that had been around since the 80's, so we had a great selection of old movies as well as the best horror section ever. We had every installment of all the classic horror series. Friday the 13th, Nightmare on Elm Street, Halloween, The Howling, ect...

Plus, it was a local video store, so I got to re-stock the porno section when I worked! :D

I didn't think there was an actual movie called Debbie Does Dallas, until I saw it one night...never rented it, though.
