It's seems as American as apple pie. I'm browsing .net and upcomingmovies.com concurrently and I've noticed the influx of movies based on comics. ARGH! See what happens when Spiderman is successful? Upcoming are the Hulk, Fantastic Four, Ben friggin Affleck as Daredevil (ugh), more Batman, Catwoman and on and on. Unless there is a comics renaissance going on (which I doubt), we will get bored quickly and a few of these movies could go straight to video. One thing is for sure; the acting, action and story better be tight or the studio execs are gonna get pounded on their return on their investment.
not to mention those that have come BEFORE Spidey X-Men the Batman series of movies the Superman series the Conan series Richie Rich Popeye The Punisher (horrible movie) Dick Tracy Creepshow
Sweet! I'll watch these movies! I remember a few years ago that Stan Lee said he was working on trying to make some movies, I believe it was Dr Strange and Ghost Rider. That would be some awesome stuff!
Who wouldn't want to watch a live action Speed Racer? LOL that would be great! Especially the out-of-synch voice overs.
