Mmm doctors said too early. They did say he'd be back for the for sure game 7 when he dunks over Kobe for the win and the series.

Apparently the surgery ended in time for him to make it on the plan to Portland too. www.seriouslyletitgo.com
Would love to see that but I never heard Deke mention it. The Rox also have one of the premier big men in Jack Sikma as a coach.
maybe i missed the thread where the specific injury was announced.. but isn't that exactly what barkley had in his final season?
I would love to see that, but we would have to kick Jack Sikma out if we did. Deke is probably going to relax for 1-2 years and then start paying attention to the Houston Rockets again. I do want Deke out there to remind Yao he's 7'6 though.
Yeah, it means the injury will take longer to heal than the time he wanted to commit to NBA basketball. If he was 32 instead of 42, he'd rehab and come back for more.
His injury doesn't mean he can't play basketball anymore, it means career-ending as him choosing to end his career over the injury. I'm sure he can play again but unfortunately he's not coming back this time. Good luck Deke you will be missed
Does anyone know if this means that DEKE will have to remain seated, he was always the first one to his feet during other teams timeouts.
