..Nachbar is gone. Was drafted by Houston as the 18th pick but was later dealt. Already has had a short stint in the NBA with New York and Milwaukee. yep he does it all, great rebounder and shoot blocker and scores good outside and inside, his handle could improve though. A hustle player, plays with great energy, rebounds the ball exceptionally well. He is quick and best suited for the SF position although he can easily play PF. Has good shooting touch. Flourishes running in the open floor. Exploded this year in Europe playing for CSKA. Won the regular season MVP in Euroleague. NBA Outlook: He really wants to play in the NBA, he tried once and he got burned so next time he will be more careful and ready. A free agent who could command a lot from an NBA team. Odds of playing in the NBA in the Future: 80% Who? The player we took instead of Lewis: Mirsad Turckan Birthdate: 1976 NBA Position: Power Forward Ht: 6-9
In an interview a week or so ago, Rudy mentioned that he had had some contact recently with Mirsad. He said they talked a little about the NBA, but more about international ball, specifically Turkcan's choice to play for his national team this summer...
He played 7 games for the Knicks and then 10 for Milwaukee in 99-00. Those look like 10 day contracts so my guess is he was waived and no team has his rights. Not positive though.
Having weak ball handling skills can hurt his chances of becoming a good SF.In order to play at the 4 he would have to develop a post up game. I would rather take J. Jefferies with the 15th pick if Nachbar was not available.
Jefferies will not be there. Seeing that Mobley feel so strongly about Odom then probably the team should use #15 as part of a package to get Odom.
