Yeah, I'll bet it was a fun day at work for those Popeyes employees in the 2nd video... LOL at the lady arguing with a recorded message on the drive thru...

Also, love the totally predictable news cliches in both of those videos:

"It has customers clucking..."

"It has customers crying fowl..."

Wow, didn't see either one of those coming...

 

What's funny is that I headed over to the Popeye's that night and man, there were like 40 people in the store and they looked angry. No way was I going to wait the probable hour or two for some Popeye's.

It's just too expensive outside of Texas. I remember having the Leg and Thigh Tuesday special every week for $0.89 Is that still going on?

I know one of the owners of that Popeyes and this is the first I've heard of this story. They never honor national advertizing specials and have signs up saying so.

 

LOL every person in that video is black.

 

I googled 13 WHAM and supposed to be in Rochester which is 38% AA so they might not have been biased on showing only black people.


The white people probably just said "Oh no chicken? OK thanks!" not good TV. That anchorwoman was hawt though.

It's obvious that most of the Popeye's chicken supply was allocated to the South.

I only do fried chicken 2 or 3 times a year and it's always KFC. I used to eat Hartz back when I was in high school and it was pretty good too. I don't think I've ever had Popeyes.

 

I love Popeye's chicken, that is false advertising though...horrible.

The last time I had popeyes was around 2-3 years ago, it's terrible compare to KFC.

 

It's kind of stupid to run a one day only promotion and then run out of chicken, that's probably the dumbest thing a company can do.

I'm Asian, and I'd probably get out of the car and start throwing bricks through the windows if this happened to me. I don't eat fried chicken that often, but when I have my mind set on Popeyes, I'm a heat seeking missile.
