what can kobe do to us, that roy has not already done? Just keep everybody else in check, and we will be triumphant against our evil enemies.
Clutchfans.net wants L.A Lakers! Be careful lakers fans,it's not gonna be the same, this is the playoffs game, huge difference from the regular season. Just watch what you wish for Lakers fans!
As long as we get out of the first round, I am happy. No one expect us to beat the lakers, but I don't think we'd get swept.
Wow, I see Rocket fans are so confident and a little bit innocent. Each year we were said to be one of the most competitive teams for championship, but as a result, we were always beaten in 1 round. Do you think it's ridiculous?
Ugh the most arrogant fans on the whole world. They just think they're better than everybody else, I hope Rockets can destroy them..
come to think about it, portland is quite similar to the lakers. both have star shooting guards, great power forwards and point guards who can hit the 3s. i dont really get why lakers had trouble with them. also what do portland have that we dont have?
possibly just to extend the series but did you see the calls they were getting against Utah? Against us will be even worse.
Oh please? Why? They are right. The Rockets are not only a good matchup for them. They are a GREAT matchup for them. The way the Rockets win against the Lakers is if Yao plays to his potential and we outhustle them on the boards and every other way. Other than that, whats not to like against the Rocks if you are a Lakers fan?
Maybe the 15 or so titles make them that way. Rockets fans would never be so arrogant after that many titles!
I think the X-factor for Houston is Ron Artest, but I think he should respond less...We don't need another showdown between Ron and Kobe, because we know how that will go. When Ron wants to shoot it, everyone in the building, including the player defending him will know.
No kidding. We can beat any team. If the Rocks don't believe that, they shouldn't lace them up and step on the court. And as a couple of others who know their history pointed out, we faced another Lakers team that Houston was supposed to have no chance against, a Lakers team arguably better than today's version (certainly, I think they were better), the defending champions in the Spring of 1986, and we defeated them in 5 games. As T.E. Lawrence said, nothing is written. We create our own history.
It really annoys me just how much people bank on the Toyota Center's lack of energy. It annoys me because it's mostly true!
I learned to believe after our title runs, so I'm not going to say we can't get past somebody. But the Lakers are the last team I'd want to see in the second round, and the very reason I was going to be fine with seeing the Jazz if it meant we had the 2nd or 3rd seed. Hell, I'd rather play the Cavs in the first if it meant we'd avoid the Lakers in the 2nd. Evan
First of all, wasn't in the 90's sometime when San Antonio had swept us in the regular series but then we came back and beat them in the play-offs. And honestly play-off ball and regular season ball is two different beast. But for now - I just want to beat Portland and then we'll worry about Koob and Co.
rockets haven't beaten portland yet. rockets won the first 2 in Dallas only to lose the series. blazers have played the rockets very close these last 3 games, 2 of those in houston. had they been in portland, i'm not sure a call or two more wouldn't have gone portland's way.
