Wouldn't It be Great if Kobe and Lebron Didn't Make it to the Finals this Year

    Even I strongly doubt it would happen but I would love to see a Kobe and Lebronless Finals this year. I am so sick of the NBA and marketers pre-ordaining a Lakers / Cavs finals this year.

    In my wildest dreams we would have a Rockets / Bulls Finals.

    And if that doesn't happen I would like to see a Mavs/Heat finals so Dwade could tear the Mavs another one...again.

    True its 12 years too late but I finally want to see the Rockets beat the Bulls in the Finals. Something that should've happened at least once during the 1990's.

    That would be pretty sweet too. It would be like 1995 where all the coverage was about how the Rockets were has beens compared to the the Robinsons, Shaqs and Penny's of the NBA. It was great, in an ironic way, when the first commercial they showed after the end of Game 4 of the finals was a Nike Penny commercial. Oh how the Rockets ruined the plans of the marketing gurus. :D

    That is a good thread, and yes, it would be sweet. Sure, Lakers are the best team in the NBA and Cavs are damn pretty good too, but it is NBA, where amazing happens... :)

    Yes, that would be ideal. If the Rockets win a championship by going through LA AND Cleveland, the media will have to give them a ton of credit.

    LOL @ the media saying "Kobe and LeBron we're just tired from the year-round basketball...rockets weren't that impressive"...hahaha...its sad.

    I am one of the very few people that believes we will destroy the Lakers. Trust me....we are much better than they are as long as we clamp down Kobe Bryant.

    Had 4 chances during the season but we couldn't beat them. I hope Rockets can win too, but it will be a VERY tough series (given that we get past the first round of course ;) )

    The only reason why I don't want that matchup is because I want the Rockets to go all the way. If not, I hope the Lakers win, and Kobe starts rapping back to Shaq, "who needs your fat a**." :p

    There is something that I like about seeing when everything are predicted to happen a certain way in the media, regardless if it is in sports, politics, or whatever...I love seeing them get things wrong, when it seems like they (pretend) to know everything, yet, when things don't turn out as expected, we can all sit back and watch them crumble or ignore what happened (or give some little excuse).
