Landry did not play too well in the first half. He committed a TO, was beaten by Outlaw for an open dunk. But he deserves credit for being aggressive when Scola was in foul trouble in the 4th quarter. One huge offensive rebound + a cold jumper when we needed the most.

Maybe we should start a Brent Berry appreciation thread also, he did good by not hurting us

Landry was pretty good in the end.

Both he and Lowry made huge, huge plays in the 4th quarter. I was surprised Adelman went to Landry when Scola picked up his 5th, but ended up being a good decision. Landry has been absent on the offensive glass all series, but he really battled in that fourth quarter.

Can we stop with these appreciation threads. Who on this team doesn't have one. We can't leave them out. I'm all for the Hayes thread after that terrific play at the end of the game, and Landry's offensive rebound was huge but this is getting ridiculous.

I trust Landry's open jumper much more than Artest's.
But Landry passed up an open jumper to Artest, which could have given Rockets 4 point lead with about 25 seconds left.

Landry definitely deserve some props by grabbing a key rebound and hitting that jump shot at the end.

what's even more puzzling, is the OP is a Contrib. Member and has a search function. These threads already exist.

Yes.....Carl Landry is a freaking MAN.

Good to see him bouncing back in the 2nd. He need to shoot it without any hesitation when he open. Sometimes he hesitate and pass it off with couple sec. on the clock. Shoot it Landry you're money$$$. That's all you need to think about. :)

That's a good question. Actually, I'd be curious to know which players lead in most "appreciation threads". I think Chuck Hayes has collected a number of them over the years. :D

that rebound that he took away from Roy was amazing. That is the LAndry that we know and love. You will not hear not critisism of Landry from me though, bcof the fact that he was shot. BUt he sure did come in big in the 4rth today

I thought Landry played well, but on the one play where he passed to Artest for the jumper with like 25 secs left to play, he was basically wide open for a short, uncontested 7 footer. He didn't even look at the basket. I noticed this against the Lakers in a home game down the stretch once. He should've shot the ball instead of passing it to Artest, but he played well and hopefully he continues his solid play too.

landry is going to be better next year by leaps and bounds

he still hasn't gained his explosiveness but the rockets bench players are tough and gritty (lowry, randry, wafer)

Yeah, I remember that as well. He should have just shot it, or gone to the basket looking to draw a foul. I don't think Artest shoots a great percentage on those midrange catch and shoot jumpers.

Landry had many mental lapses in the first half but redeemed himself in the 4th qtr. Still troubled with the mental lapses because it seems his mind isn't in the game. I can forgive aggressive mistakes but stupid mental mistakes are going to kill us.
