von played an incredible first half with him attacking the basket since his jumper was off. in the second half though he kept the blazers in the game though
They got the wafer jerseys at the rockets shop in the toyota center i seen them at last night playoff game. The price $55 i was going to buy one but i wait to see if he stays.
I'm starting to get a big man crush on Von Wafer. This can't possibly be healthy. His explosiveness. His confidence. His scoring ability from inside, in transition, midrange or 3. He is the PERFECT 6th man. He plays with a chip on his shoulder each and every night. I love it.
I wish he could play defense though. It's scary how often he lets his man blow by him or how often looks lost after getting caught up in a pick. Other times, he doesn't even bother tracking his man and just eyes the ball and edges towards the opposing goal cuz he's so damn eager to cherry pick and get a fast break dunk.
Wafer has been great, Although sometimes he is not as efficient late in the game, He has done much much more than most of us expected. 9 points in less than 3 minutes...unbelievable
Wafer is electric off the bench. He played perfect game tonight. He attacked, take open shots, create plays for teammates. Really glad to have him on this team he make the game fun to watch. Go VON!!!
He is certainly not intimidated by the playoffs as many players are. He is the energizer bunny off the bench. Tonight, Adelman should have given him some of Artest's minutes. How could it been worse?
von should be getting more minutes... note how when the shot clock goes below 10...the ball is almost always in ron ron's hands and he waits for the clock to wind down to below 5 and jacks up a fadeaway contested handsinface jumper that misses...thankfully our rebounders were on fire today and grabbed those jacked up shots back... so...von needs to be in there...he is one of the players that can get to the rack in an instant and an offensive force that is reliable
wafer had his ups and downs in this series, no doubt, it was tumultuous. but if you consider the parity in 05 and 07, that the majority of our losses were by single digits, you can conclusively say that adding von wafer onto either of those teams would have pushed them over the top in each respective series. a timely 3 here and there mixed in with some energy can go so far. if we pull off the unthinkable against LA, and wafer maintains his production, he could reach brandon backe cult hero status in houston.
von seems to choke during playoff pressure..so he doesn't perform to his true potential..he's like superman he should have burned the blazers even more..but he doesnt seem comfortable playing away from home. He still doesn't have the composure needed. Hopefully playing against his old team lakers will give him extra incentive to perform at his best; because he can and has the ability..lakers r too good though..size will probably be a factor
