I still am nervous we have been in this position before and blown it my concentration has already focused on Game 5 Great Clutch win though.
you cant practice game situations at the FT line, it happens, some can make them some cant, some can take the pressure some cant....it's like trying to fine a baseball player for not throwing a strike EVERY time he wanted to.
What an awesome win! It made my day! I swear, my heart was beating 100 mph. We have control of this series! Come on Rockets, one more win.
Great job re-posting Yao. Good job Scola Great job landry on that shot and that board Great job taking the charge Chuck!!!!!!!!!! Good job Wafer and brooks and lowry BIG SHOT BATTIER................................ YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS great team win........
I think the thing that really got me about this game was how we closed them out. How many times have we been completely frustrated at the Rockets teams of old that just NEVER seem to be able to win the close ones. We hung on tonight, made it hard for ourselves, but damn, we hung on. I am so damn proud of this team.
The dumb decision-making in the last few seconds of games almost cost the Rockest-again. I can't understand why Adelman does not have, first, Brent Barry on the court, and not pass the ball to Yao when the opponent is obviously going to foul in the last few minutes. Brooks has proven, time and again, that he chokes in the ft line when the game is on the line. Yet Adelman keeps letting him get fouled. Where was the TC center crowd tonight when the Rockets needed the lift in the third quarter? The players were listless and going through the motions while the crowd seemed entranced and quiet. It was quite bizarre. It is during these moments, and there were several of them, during the game that the coach should send in the energy players. Adelman, wtf!!!!
Too much credit given to AB. His non stop dribble made Rocket's offense look so poor and his consistent losing track of Blake got blake 11 points and 8 assists. It was Lowry running the show when Rox came back in the 4th quarter.
There's no way Adelman can play Yao 44 min/g. There needs to be a backup. There is going to be 4th slump in the next game, because Yao will be so exhausted. We need to take game 5.
How frustrating could this be for the Blazers. Blazers make all their free throws, Brandon Roy scoring 30+ points and the team shoots 46% while you hold your opponent to 40% at the same time, block 9 of their shots and still lose? Beautifullly demoralizing.
care to expand on that? Everything I wrote was true, i didnt brush aside anything. We had to work for this win, if houston doesnt put in work, we lose. Portland wasnt going to give us this win... so explain what "larger implications and their potential effect" i took for granted? Just because there are some doesnt mean i took them for granted..
