i think nba players should be fined for missing free throws. it's *****ing offensive to paying fans. i can't believe it, really
a scary win, but feels so GREAT! now lets go to Oregon and put the seal on them! AB will be big again I guess.
and who's bright idea was it to use RED balloons/sticks to wave during free throws when the seats are RED, and people are wearing RED....it looked like the background was all red and nothing was really moving...WHITE is what it should be..
what an understatement.. you must be the type of person that takes many immediate results at face value.. while taking for granted their larger implications and their potential effect in the grand scheme of things.. this has to be the third straight game that's been so closely contested.. that you've simply brushed aside.. almost if you considered them all purely coincidental..
Wow, where did we get such a superiority complex?? We just won a playoff game to go up 3-1 and half the people are saying it was lucky or that the Lakers will kill us? Hello, we just won a really hard fought playoff game against a team that just doesn't give up! Love my Rockets.
Great great win! As Shane said, it says a lot about the character of this team. Refs set the tone early, that no martial arts are allowed. Rick and Yao made the adjustment by mixing up the timing of Yao getting down low, and Yao moved a lot, other players are lot more patient. Yao was big in the fourth. I had a huge sigh after he scored that 21 points - ok, statistics is at our side Scola was solid as usual, as Collins said, how important for the Rockets that PFs can knock down those 15 footer jumpers. Artest worked hard and played controlled, both in offense and defense he had some key moments. Shane, what can I say? Someone mentioned earlier yesterday about the Big Shot Bob reference. I do see that in Shane, those big shots really helped his confidence. Plus his smartness and defense, he's going to play a big role in future Rockets success. AB was off today, but give him credit, after sitting down for so long, came at close minute to knock down the first free throw, and later the rebound. When he's shots are not going, it affects everything he does. But the past 2 games would be good for him to gain experience. Wafer, pure energy, huge offensive spark off the bench, those few possessions where he hit the 3, got the 2 and 1, assist to Yao, and another 3, electrified the building. Landry hesitated a little bit today, but he did knock down key jumpers and grabbed key offensive rebound. Lowry provided a lot of energy as well, the offensive rebound he grabbed, elevated above everyone. Props to him to play many minutes, took over the responsibility as AB was off today. Hayes is Hayes, whenever you need him, even just for 30 seconds, he will be ready to play key defense possessions. We didn't shoot well tonight, but we played with great effort. I can't imagine that is even remotely possible to pull this one out, if it happens on the road. Fans are excited, so are the players. Great great win. I am a happy man today!
Your utter cynicism towards the Rockets never ceases to amaze me - but I can kinda see your point. Portland showed their youth today. But in past years, we choke that game away, and in spectacular fashion. The team got all sorts of clutch rebounds we didn't get in '07.
Just happy someone put flubber on Lowry's shoes in the fourth. That's the only way I can explain his performance. Or maybe Lowry is flubber. Dont care. Just happy to get the win.
TWSS. But seriously, I'm ecstatic we got this win. Look at lowry and brooks combined PG performance: 2-11? a few assists? eek.
Dribble, dribble and lost the ball last crucial minutes and hoisted contested shots. Can't make stupid mistakes on playoffs. Good thing Lowry and Brooks had some great rebound. Almost give me heart attack
Very hard-fought win. The Blazers hit some big shots but the Rockets hit more. Great to see Yao get involved. See you in Portland!
