Ill tell you what really is going to happen. We are not getting Duncan, McGrady, nor Odom. We are going to have to settle for Grant Hill.
Okay seriously now. I dont think we are getting anyone big. We will get the 9th pick. But I think we will package that with Drew and another scrub, and also another pick for a top 4 pick. We will also sign Cuttino. Duncan and Hill are going to sign one year contracts with their team. Then after next year we will have money to go after Webber, Duncan, or Hill. Thats what I think is going to happen.
Now can u tell me why your name is BrahmaRocket. Is it supposed to be the Hindu God "Brahma"?

Just my igggnerant opinion but I think any thing could happen this off-season. I don't believe we'll get any big name free-agents, but after that, any thing could happen. There is the pick we might or might not get from Orlando (probably not) there is the whole lottery thing, and free agents, trades, bla bla bla and this is the Rockets. As we know they are not affraid to pull the string on big trades. Especially when Francis is the only one who untouchable.

It's going to be a fun off season.

What is your idea of garbage when it comes to rumors? Because that's all a rumor is, even when it comes from the guys from ESPN, and Fox South West Sports. No one but God actually knows what's going to happen this offseason, and the truth is the Houston Rockets could end up with either of these named players (Tim Duncan, Grant Hill, Tracy McGrady, Maurice Taylor, Tim Thomas, Rashad Lewis, and etc.) All people are doing right now is giving their opinions and ideas of what will happen. So if you are getting pissed off then just don't read or listen to anything posted here.

Only the teams on top tend to have boring off seasons -- because they will want to build on what they have.

The Rockets are going to take some risks, and play their hand to the hilt, because they desperately want to make a few windfalls to improve the team. It will be turbulent, with rumors, speculation, and attempts at deals that will fall through.

In the end, they will probably make a few changes, with the possibility of a major one. But it won't be boring.

Argh! I know I'm probably seeming overly politically correct and fussy about this... but there's that word again, "scrub." That would seem to indicate that a player doesn't have any value at all, and that's just not true. There's a difference between a role player, and a "scrub." Drew is, at least, too young to be given such a title of non-achievement. As a starter, he performed very well this year.

Ah well, at least I haven't heard Shandon or Walt referred to like that since my last tirade [IMG]

Brahma has a point. Primarily, manage your expectations. Because otherwise, the offseason will be very, very long.

Besides, we don't need no stinkin' players. That mindset makes you angry, only when a bad trade goes down.

    I agree with HEB.

WE dont need no stinkin badgers.

    or players.

But here are my predictions for the Rocket's offseason.

Cuttino Mobley will leave the Rockets for bigger money from Utah. He has a kitten to feed.

    The Rockets will lose Moochie.

The Rockets will not trade Drew.

The Rockets will trade their pick for a whole bunch of 2nd round picks that will not make the team.

    Hakeem will hang it up.

Rockets will resign Sam Mack for the league minimum, and Puff will have the scoop.

so my realistic fantasy Rockets team will look like this:

    pg- Francis, Drew
    sg- Anderson, Sam Mack
    sf- Wizard, Bullard
    c - Cato, Pig
    pf- KT, Rogers

There are only 10 players, but that is how Rudy will like it.

Oh, and the Rockets will get a new arena and name it the Jeff Dome.

Man, what an exciting offseason Rocket fans have to look forward to!

The team will remain intact in the off-season.

Rocks will draft big and there will be one blockbuster before the All-Star deadline next year.
