haha yea Ive always thought that. He's like him in terms of size and tenacity. If he stays clean or remains under the radar in terms of getting caught if he actually does use roids (his physical growth makes it hard not to accuse him) then we got a beast linebacker.

Hopefully he'll augment DeMeco Ryan's game well. He could hold this position down for a long time if he stays healthy.

I'm just glad that we went with best available defensive player as it seems that no trade offers were there.

Also...i think getting a guy like Cushing with our first round pick is more of an overall value pick opposed to drafting a pure pass rushing D end like everette brown. A linebacker like cushing who's size and physicality is more than ideal, will help you in ever department on D...great in coverage, good against the run, although not a great pass rusher at this point of his career. He's played every linebacker position and can even line up at DE. Drafting someone like Brown who is a great pass rusher but physical questions in terms of him translating into a 4-3 defense won't be able to produce in as many areas on D as Cushing can. Getting a pure pass rusher is better suited in the later rounds as often times they are boom or bust type players.

One-semi decent season plus years of roids/PED rumours = awesome

I may be wrong (if he can keep on the juice and get his head in order) but I'm feeling very Joppru right now.

Lol. I was thinking he was going to pull a hamstring walking up to the podium. This would also be worse than Joppru since Cushing was drafted in the first round..

Not sure why some of you guys are disappointed that we picked up Cushing. I wasn't the biggest fan of the guy but you're talking about a 3-year starter at a big-time program who has put out a ton of very good LBs. He's a very athletic guy who plays with a big-time motor. A good tackler that will also provide some pass rushing coming from the outside.

No, but do it honestly instead of roiding up all day.

Do you honestly think Texans front office is that dumb picking a dude who is using roids? The Texans front office know what kind of talent this guy possess and can contribute to this team now and for the future.

He was clean for the combine, so unless you have a positive test as proof, it's pure conjecture. With that said, there's little doubt in my mind that the guy did use roids at some point while at USC. But he was clean for the combine and still tested very well in strength/speed and like another poster pointed out, I'm sure the Texans did their homework on the guy so I'll trust them over a false story that was retracted.

He kinda reminds me of Tim Riggins from Friday Night Lights...

Well, I´d hoped for Jenkins but I guess I´m alright with this pick.

While I would have preferred Orakpo or Jenkins if available, I have no problem with the pick. The Texans took the best player available at a position of need. Hard to get upset at that. Who else would they have chosen? Maclin? Maybe, but we don't really need much (if any) help at wide receiver. Vontae Davis? Maybe, but it he might have been a reach at #15. Who else?

Did ya'll see all the pimples on him?

All I remeber about this guys is VY making him dance in circles at the Rose Bowl. Even the roids couldn't help him against the great VY.

Bagwell was a hell of a hitter though.
