I counted 2 or 3 very obvious, Utah Jazz-worthy flops by Scola last night. Maybe one of them worked, otherwise when he fails he's out of position on the floor. Not to mention that it's undignified and stupid. Please stop flopping. There are no yellow cards or free kicks in the playoffs. Please stop.
Just wait until Yao starts flailing himself 10 feet back after a point guard drives into him. That'll show em.
Battier flopped near the end of the fourth quarter on Travis Outlaw, and that resulted, I think, in a 3-point play for them. Flopping is Scola's best defense, but Battier is better than that.
It is humiliating to the Rockets. Adelman should stop it. He drew a foul on Aldridge on one of them. I thought an official called a foul on Scola on one of them just out of spite, and then I think there were two more where he hit the ground and his guy blew past him.
NBA is a flopping league. If you can't beat them, join them. We couldn't have won Game 3 without Luis.
The funny thing is if you read the Blazer boards, all the complaints they make about us is similar to what we've been saying about the Jazz. We whine too much, we flop, we get away with rough play and the refs don't call fouls on us. I guess the Rockets figured if they want to get past the first round, they need to be more Jazz-like? The Rocket even had a much better home record and worse road-record compared to previous years ...
I dont know what all the fuss is about. Its not like he is just throwing himself around ppl. He is receiving contact and then maybe over doing it, but its not like he is not receiving contact. I think its a part of the game, and i think its more like taking a charge then flopping. Now AK 47, thats flopping, when you fake that anything even happened.
What are you? Some asian Yao lover who doesn't understand a joke? Do us all a favor and go worship your Yao shrine and go post on a Yao message board. GTFO.
Indeed stop it, Battier too. Those flops could've cost us the game because they came at crucial times and they both did not have position. Now the one time where Roy ran into Battier definetly should've been a charge but that's about it. Also has any1 ever wondered why Artest has never taken a charge ? Is it just because he gambles so much, because nobody dares to run into him or he finds it something despicable and only for p*****s ?
Artest uses his hands to play defense, not his feet. It's not fundamentally sound, but he's been very effective playing that way for his entire career.
Scola flops, not the entire team. The rest is loser talk! Honestly, I don't think the Rockets get away with overly rough play and on a scale of 1 to 10, the Rockets may be a 6 on whining, but the Spurs and Jazz are 9's.
untill the leauge actually does something about it, it cannot be pinned on the players. With the way the current system is setup.....flopping is encouraged. and I do not mind Scolattier flooping against the Blazers. (Prynzcess and Steve Flake medicine).
My buddy and I were discussing this during the game last night and concluded that if Scola was not a Rocket he would be in our top 5 most hated players due to his flopping and style of play. I'm glad he is on our side but I agree that he needs to stop flopping.
Lol. I counted that as well. I love Luis as a player, but he still has the FIBA brand of flopping embedded in him at times. That's not to say that Battier doesn't flop occasionally, but when most of our players take charges they don't flop in the process.
