WOO!!! THE WORLD CUP BABY!!!! BEST EVENT IN SPORTS!!! WOOOO!!!

Dang it...stupid time difference. I'm gonna have to wake up at 6 am for France/Senegal. AGH!

Man...My goal one day is to attend the World Cup....then I could die a happy man. Is next one in England or Germany? Both sound like good places to visit...

Oh and BTW: France will repeat.

The only soccer games I watch are World Cup. The cool thing about the World Cup is all games are aired live. ESPN and ESPN2 will air 57 games live while Univision and Telefutura will air every single game live in Spanish. I wish basketball had an equivalent to the World Cup - at least 2-3 games every day for a whole month.

    Next is in Germany.

    I will be there!!

sleep is optional in the face of World cup matches.

I still havnt decided if I am gonna go to sleep early and wake every morning at 2:55 or if I am gonna stay up late and just nap after i get home from work.

I am most likely to just stay up on the weekends, but those week days will kill me.

My Tivo's going to get a work out while I'm sleeping. Not the same as seeing it live, but it's as close as my body will let me get.

I was studying in France in 98 when France hosted the cup and won. It was a really cool experience, even though I know next to nothing about soccer/football.

It's usually a European team vs a South American team that makes it to the finals.

I'm guessing most of them have slipped into a coma since suckor is more boring to watch than the spelling bee.

I love soccer, but only watch the last few games in the World Cup. The poor quality of the USA's side ruins it all for me ;).

Hence, I prefer to watch European club soccer. I managed to attend a few New England Revolution's games in the past couple years... the quality isn't great, but the atmosphere is good in MLS.
