offensively AB is good, way better than KL and Rafer, but as PG, your role is running the offense smoothly and create opportunity to your teammates rather than scoring.

and brooks still had 0 turnovers..everyone talks about his lack of assists, but he's had 0 turnovers in some big games this year. Considering how much he dribbles around, that's pretty impressive.

It's pretty obvious that the true feelings of Rocketsliquid is that he can't bring himself to admit that Yao has limitations that are being exploited by the Blazers. He instead chooses to blame Brooks for not getting Yao the ball and for scoring more points than Yao in the series.

it is interesting to see the thread by which a member is rookiefied. Thanks RocketSolid, besides that this thread does not bring anything new. And is completly useless.

If you really want a civilized discussion on your thread (when you have become a member again) make sure that your first post has anything to offer.

Now now, lets not go making assumptions about someone based on some assinine thread they start. Don't worry, if what you say has some merit, then in no time at all it will become very apparent. :D

shut up b****. MVP of the game is (Scola + Battier), not your boy AB, not to mention your other boy Tracy.

See Rick Adelman. Aaron's role in this offense is to get the ball up the court and start the offense. He is a scorer, getting most of his shots(during the regular season) from kickouts after Yao gets it down low and is doubled. He isnt asked to create alot. Ideally that means get it to the wings and on into Yao. Blazers are trying to prevent that so Rockets are going to plan B and C. Thats not Aaron's strength. In a situation where the other team works so hard to keep the ball out of the low block with Yao, Brooks is not in his comfort zone. I think there has been considerable practice time where the Rockets are working on that plan B and C with Aaron.

Many times his assists in the past were the general "toss it to open shooter and the shot goes in". Tonight there was more penetrate and dish, and that assist he got on the break with the flip over his head to Artest was incredible. Havent seen that kind of creativity from him too often in the past. So he's getting better at it.

    true.

but in game 2 the bullet pass from lowry to scola was more impressive. classic quality pg stuff.

since we have lowry, who imo is more of a conventional pg, why do it in a hard way and take a detour? plus, ab plays better off the bench. is it a seniority thing?

Not seniority. Familiarity with the offense. Chemistry with the Starters. Even Lowry's chemistry with Landry and Wafer could be a reason. And I think folks look at the mistakes Brooks makes and automatically assume that Lowry wouldn't make them. But Lowry didnt get out on Blake with about 4-5 minutes to go in the 4th when he hit that pullup 3 pointer on the break. They both make mistakes, I just think Adelman believes that Brooks is the better choice, especially with the way Aaron has been shooting this series.

Brooks MVP of this game? Are you delusional? I think you might have watched Game 1 again.

I disagree, he and Wafer could've won the game for Blazers. I guess all they see is the basket whenever they get the ball the WHOLE DAMN NIGHT!! They should both be bench warmers, only used in certain situation/night. Can't stand to have two knuckleheads on the court for Rockets at once, just can't. Moery should design a BB IQ test and trade away anyone less than 120. I bet AB/VW won't make the cut.

Who cares, we have both. Some of you guys whine and b*tch after every game, as if a player can't have a bad game. Reading some of these posts you would think Brooks has done nothing in this series. A big part of the reason the Rockets are leading this series is because of Brooks, especially his Game 1 performance.

Yeah, I can't understand why Adelman don't use Barry. I always thought that his experience could help us in the playoffs.
