Good win, great defense. Dense will be the key for Rockets to win this series. It was indeed embarassing for Yao to be on the offensive end. If Yao can't figure it out himself to deal with fronting, you can call his NBA career over as a "superstar". I doubt that he will ever figure it out, because he has been in NBA 7 years. I don't blame this to coaches and players, it is mainly on Yao. It is just so sad that Yao as such an offensive weapon can be taken out so easily.
Now I'm getting sick of all these first time Rookie posters getting on this forum and cussing and making rude comments. If you don't want to see Rookie status for life back off. This is a forum for Rocket fans to come together to talk about their passion for this team not to fight with each other and cuss each other out. You don't know me and you would be very surprised how much I know about basketball since I played over seas for several years...........
It's funny... you were no where to be found in the Game 1 thread. That day must have been very sad for you since you couldn't bash Yao. Without him in this game the others wouldn't have gotten those easy shots and we would not have led by 10+ points throughout the game.
He made some clutch free throws and had a nice pass to Scola. He did help us win. If we played any other teams in the playoff we all would be talking about how much he sucks. He resembles Francis more than a PG. He missed Yao on a lot of opportunities in post. He makes a lot bad decisions. Blake 4-7 threes 10assist, most of that on AB. He played great D on the late three Blake did make by standing 10 feet away. I didnt mean i hate Brooks period. I just hate him as starter.
what do you mean nothing right happened? We had a hell of decent job in defence in the whole game! Look at the stat sheet for Roy and Aldridge. They couldn't score anything but some really miraculous 3s. They could never beat us with those. QUOTE=lalala902102001]Nothing right happened in this game...except for the result. And I'll take that.[/QUOTE]
Well half of the time he's being held and hugged while fronting, so what is he supposed to do? Oden had a arm around his waist nearly every time. It seems to me that Adelman has given up on solving the problem and is okay with Brooks and Artest taking most of the shots. Also there are times when Yao is open and the guards simply ignore him. If Adelman really wanted to get Yao the ball, he'd get on the Guards for that...but he's okay with it as he said "Who cares about whose taking the shots?"
Old school win! Yao controlled the rebs, scolandry provided the offense, battier made some huge shots after being a no show and the defense was good. Brooks and lowry was capable, on to the next game.
Dont know if this was said but Yao really sucks on one side of the court. He needs to be on the left side of court. He might be able to make a hook shot if real close but his fade aways is not good there
Yeah I just wish we had a dealy shooter open in those situations. Scola keeps getting better an better but for some reason everytime he takes a shot i go " no,no,no, yes,yes,yes...."
