Hey GM Francis "Draft Me" Someone answer this question for me cause I haven't had the luxury of watching as many of the Rockets games as most of yall cuz I worked nights. I thought Eddie Griffin was supposed to be the Rockets SF last season What happened cuz on draft day thats the assumption I got...I've watched the draft every year faithfully probably for the last 10 years or so and now I see that were looking for a SF and a center. Why is it that he didn't get much playing time at the beginning of the season? It seems to me that the only way he'd ever live up to his potential is for him to get playing time. I mean hell we didn't draft him for him to sit on the bench. From what Ive heard is now all of a sudden he's a PF.....Why is that, is it because he can block shots? Didn't u get Cato for that? I mean hell we all know Griffen is too light in the a$$ to be tryin to play power forward....I'm just a little pissed cause I have a funny feeling your gonna turn him into another Pippen sitting on the wing and waiting for Mobley and Francis to pass him the ball so he can spot up and try to shoot a 3....Oh I'm sorry Didn't u get Rice for that? It seems to me that ur tryin to make up for what ur other players lack. IMO its a reason that a team is in the lottery...CAUSE U SUCK and are in need of more talent. Just because we almost made the playoffs last year doesn't mean that we are that much better than the rest. Look at our record. Dont think that a jump shooting PF that cant rebound and smokes weed and it FAT is the answer and is gonna magically move us into the playoffs. Rice is injury prone and is past his prime. Francis and Mobley are our best players and they wont pass the ball to anyone but each other. Why dont we just clone them so they can play by themselves. Hell I wish I was cool with Francis(T Mo) maybe I can get drafted to the Rockets. Oh yeah I forgot...Moochie dribbles too much and is overpaid.
First of all the Rockets did NOT SUCK last year. They were simply decimated by injuries to star players which resulted in a lopsided losing record. Second to answer your question, EG plays the 4 spot in Rudy's depth chart.
Look man all I want to see is the players develop to their potential. There's a reason that the players are drafted that high and good coaching along with a good work ethic can help that. I guess what I'm really trying to say is that with the team that put together even after Griffen even without al the injuries wasn't gonna make the playoffs. I dont care what u guys say. Hell they shoulda gave him more playing time. We were gonna lose anyway. I mean Really who were we gonna overtake for the 8th playoff spot. The offense Sucks, has little imagination, no ball movement and no one plays defense. There is a reason that Stevie gets as many rebounds that he does......No one else will. Maurice Taylor was known to be a bad rebounder in LA and he scored alot cause he's a jack artist. I dont want a 6'10 player as big as he is shooting jumpers. This is one of my favorite times of the year. I am a draft fanatic. If were not here to develop players and try to win what are we here for? Hell I found this bbs last year looking for draft info and have been reading it ever since. The Rockets have the number 1 pick in the draft and their probably gonna draft some slow footed white boy who shoots jumpers and cant play a lick of defense. It doesn't matter cause all were gonna do is run ISO's anyway. ....p.s.... I didn't say the Rockets suck I said All the teams in the lottery Suck. Thats why they are there. If you pick a person that high START them (especially if your drafting for need)
