Why is it that EVERY NBA analyst for the Portland-Houston speaks from Portland's point of view...what THEY muist do this...they must do that.

It's never what HOUSTON must do!! So damn annoying!!

Maybe because we are the ones with the big point differential lead in the series....

Maybe because Houston hasn't been out of the first round in 12 years.

But thats how it always goes when it comes to the media having something to do with the Rockets. We could have won both road games they would still be talking about how Portland still have a great shot at coming back and winning the series. It never gets old.

    its an investment in time/coverage.

portland is going to be raround/big for the next 5 years or so, the powers that be (espn) have decided portland is going to be a go to story so they are starting now. i mean portland is a great story and they have a fun/young team, plus the greg odon factor. if i wasnt a rockets fan i would be rooting for portland probably.

Because every body is on the whole "Portland-will-pwn-in-the-future!-o-wait-theyre-starting-to-pwn-now" bandwagon. Cant blame them though.

We haven't done anything over the last 12 years and Portland is the new glam team with young upcoming players. I'm not worried about that.
What I'm concerned about is how our guys play and their health.

Maybe they know how much JVG is gonna vaunt the rockets today and they're trying to balance things out.

I think because the Blazers are the team that HAS to play a certain way to win this series. We played like crap and lost by just 4 points in Portland.

When talking about this series, I would probably cover it from Portland's POV as well. Ther'ye the ones that have the most work to do and adjustments to make.

I hope it is not because our franchise player is a foreigner.

its cuz they haven't seen portland in the playoffs in a long time and they are young and inexperienced so they would like to see them win

Honestly, I don't think I've seen anyone this year outside of Houston who's really counted us as a true contender.

And, when I talked to other fans, I haven't found one thats picked Houston over Portland.

We don't get any respect. Which is why I really want to win, to shove it in their faces.

They're young, got Brandon Roy, dunk and make a bunch of trees, and they beat the Lakers before. We're a bunch of old dudes that just hustle and we lost to the Lakers.

Plus we got Yao. No one outside of Houston likes Yao.

Portland is the 'sexier' team out of the two. Yao, Artest, and a bunch of role players no one has heard of....versus the young upstarts w/ a few future (potential) superstars.

To top it off, we lost Deke. Who wants to sex us now?

You won't see the media say that the Lakers need to to this and that to beat Utah. Does that mean the media is not Lakers-centric?
